Vehicle Detail
First off: DOES NOT RUN For sale is a Honda Odyssey FL250, I believe it to be a 1983 but the sticker that the year was written on is half ripped off. I have done a lot of work to this Honda to make it safer including new parking break pads, new break cable, new tires, new fenders, new spark plugs and a new CDI box. I also have a new main coil but so far it has not needed it yet. Along with these upgrades, I have also rebuilt the top end of the motor with a Wisco piston and had the "jug" bored out. The carburetor has also been pulled off, taken apart and cleaned. I have also added on a Goki electric start system so you don't have to rip your arm off trying to start it. When I installed the electric start, I pulled out the pull start and kept it out but I still have the pieces to it if you would like to put it back in (I'm not sure why you would want it back in). And instead of using the little battery box that came with the system I made a battery box that you can fit a car battery into so you don't have to worry about charging the battery all the time. The exhaust has also had some work done on it due to rust issues, I had a shop weld on some stainless steel pipe and while I was there, I changed the graphite seal on the exhaust and the exhaust manifold gasket. And now off the cosmetics to the mechanics. The motor ran strong and had a lot of torque, probably too much for this little atv but it was fun. However I am unable to get it to start, it sounds like the starter is just winding up but not engaging. This machine also has a high performance, after market Comet clutch system that worked excellent. The motor probably has around 2-3 hours on it. My dad is cleaning up the property and this is on the list of things to go. To see a video of this odyssey on youtube then follow the following link. This is a video of the machine back before the starting issue but after the rebuild so you can see that it ran good and strong: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uEcoVSn7acc Also if you need specific questions answered about this machine then you can shoot me a call at any reasonable time at (919) 60 one - 4460
