Title in-hand. Here is a 1982 BMW 320i. This car was in storage for five (5) plus years (2005-2010). i am the 3rd owner. When brought out of storage last year (barn find) the car was brought back to road worthy condition and sold to me. I have had to do a few things (listed below) since. The vehicle is mechanically sound and currently a daily driver. Low miles approx 120,000 (odometer stopped at 108,777 about 5 months ago. M-10 engine starts right up and runs smooth. DOES NOT BURN OIL. No leaks. Has after-market Boush AC unit that works. 5 speed manual transmission. Items of interest: New muffler New clutch New battery New fuel lines Fairly new tires Oil was recently changed AC blows cold NEEDS: Interior work needed. The carpeting has been removed. the center console has been removed, but is present. The air damper for the heat/ac switch is damaged. The heater motor no longer works, only the AC does, thus front defrost does not work. Small cracks in dash. Passenger seat does not move, but does recline. Drive seat works fine. Glove box does not function. Does not have AM/FM radio, but wire harness is present and all speakers work. Exterior is showing slight rust around doors and windows. Paint is 5 out of 10. Aftermarket tint on rear windows has been peeled off in spots. Washer fluid pump no longer works, but wipers work fine. Radio antenna has been broken off and the power antenna motor no longer works. Small crack in windshield. Small dings in body. Need control arm bushings and the left rear has some spring sag (from dry storage). Shocks are good. Rear wheels are beginning to buckle, but it has a smooth ride aside from the shimmy with the control arm need. GOOD: Interior seats are in great shape. Headliner is in great shape. Sun-roof/Moon-roof is manual and works with no leaks. All switches and interior lighting is present and works. Has original owner's manual and all paperwork. Fuel tank has new lines and does not leak. Does not smoke at all. Fuel injection works fine. Engine is clean. Transmission shifts smooth. Powerful car, runs 80 mph. on the interstate without hesitation. Engine is a 9 out of 10. Options: Power mirrors AC Digital clock Rear defrost Truck tool kit is 100% along with spare tire and jack present. BMW 3 series rims are present (all 5) New front and rear BMW badges This car would be a great baseline for restore or a great parts car for your current project. I no longer have the time to devote to it and I wish to move it ASAP. I have all paperwork from my ownership, shop records, etc. It did pass emmissions testing for the State of Texas but the tag expired 6/30/11. It has current plates that expire on 5/31/12. I have a short work commute so it is fun to drive this car to work and back daily. I am a BMW CCA member and have restored BMWs in the past, but no longer wish to invest time and money in this vehicle. Buyer pays for shipping and coordination of such.
