Vehicle Detail
This auction is for my 1999 Chevy Z71 shortbox pickup. Mechanically this truck is excellent with no major issues. I will do my best to explain it but please don't hesitate to ask questions. I bought it about 2 1/2 years ago and have recently purchased another vehicle and it this one just doesn't get driven very much. It's time for her to go although it is hard to part with. The Good: The good things about it are mechanically it is very sound. Starts awesome with tons of power. Four wheel drive works perfect with the push of a button. It has a new transmision at around 155k. It was put in by Certified Transmissions. Last summer I put in new plugs and had all the fluids changed. This includes transmission, front end, rear end, transfer case, etc. I also put new brakes on last summer - pads and rotors, and all new shocks. The tires were brand new 2 years ago and have really good tread remaining. It runs perfect and sounds awesome with the dual exhaust. AC and cruise work great as well. It leaks nothing. Not a drop and uses no oil between changes. I maintain my vehicles and take care of them with regular oil changes and such. The Bad: The center console needs some attention - see pictures. It doesn't really shut. There is a bit of rust above the rear wheels starting - see pictures. Pretty Chevrolet typical. Occassionally the ABS light pops on but then goes off. I looked up the issue and allegedly there is a module that due to poor design gets damp and causes the light to come on. Dumb I know. I just ignore it and go on with life. It hasn't caused any problems. I have sold many things and some vehicles on ebay. I do my best to describe but again please ask questions. I can assist with transport by taking the truck to either Lincoln or Omaha airport if you desire to fly in and drive it home. It is a very good truck and I wouldn't be afraid to take it anywhere. I require a $500 down payment via paypal within 24 hours. If you would like to ship it with a carrier then I can meet them in Lincoln at a common spot to help with transit. If you have zero feedback, you will probably be rejected unless you communicate with me first. I don't know why people bid who don't intend to pay, but it has happened quite a few times to me. Thank you and good luck!
