You are bidding on my 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300D. Black on Black color combination (MB-Tex interior). I've owned the car since August 2010, and have done the following maintenance and upgrades. Have maintenance records. (See below): 1)New Battery (6/11) 2)New Glow Plugs (6/11) 3)New Front Shocks, Bilstein (5/11) 4)New Alternator (3/11) 5) New headlights (6/11) 6) Heater and A/C overhaul (12/10) So A/C and HEAT BOTH WORK 7) New Tires (12/10) 8) New Pioneer CD Player w/4 speakers (9/10) 9) Brake Flush (8/10) 10) Coolant Flush (8/10) 11) Transmission Flush (12/10) 12) Air Filter & Fuel Filters Changed (6/11) 13) Oil Change & Safety Inspection (7/11) 14 Thermostat replaced 15) All dash lights, tail light bulbs, rheostat, and 4-way flasher replaced. It's been my daily driver and has never left me stranded. Engine and Transmission are both running strong.Getting about 24-25 MPG. Valve cover gasket and timing chain were replaced by the previous owner. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, but the car is for sale locally also, so the auction could end at any time. FLAWS?: There's some minor rust behind the front wheel wells. Floor pans are nice and solid. The dash has cracks-but its covered by a nice cloth cover. (see pic) The sunroof occasionally leaks, but only under HEAVY rain ($40 gasket needed). The cruise control works intermittently ($150 fix) Power antenna switch does not work. (radio works great-- antenna just stays in the up position. The fuel and temp gauge work-- but will sometimes "dance" around and register correctly only at idle.
