Vehicle Detail
This is a real, ALL steel car with the only fiberglass parts being the inside window garnish moldings. All the info herein was supplied by the previous owner who did the restoration or from my own personal observation which may or may not be 100% accurate. Personal inspection is not only welcome but recommended. The info I have been supplied suggests that this car was originally built as you see it as a Canadian show car in the 70s. Most of the original paint including flames is present along with the complete chrome front end, complete, including brake drums and backing plates, chrome 8" Ford rear axle and pinstripes on the underside of the running boards and all of this seems to support the show car history. The car was given a nicely done approximately 3 1/2" chop, a filled roof but still retains the swing out windshield, roll down rear window and the cowl vent. I understand the rockers and the bottom of the passenger door to be the only patch panels used. I have noticed however that the floor from the seats forward has been replaced with aluminum. All four fenders and the gas tank cover are new steel items, seem to fit very well and are nicely painted to match the original body paint. The four piece hood and grille appear to be original Henry items. The original frame was used, partially boxed as was often done in the 70s and has a chrome four bar front, parallel leaf rear and Mustang steering. This car was redone in 2008-10 with the plan being to keep as much of the original look present but to include a major update in driveability. This car is no trailer queen, it is meant to be used and enjoyed. Front brakes are large GM discs, rear brakes simply rebuilt 8" Maverick and a Ford dual master cylinder is used. The engine, a 350 Chev, was professionally rebuilt in Ohio and receipts are included. The transmission, a Turbo 350, was rebuilt in October of 2010. Fuel tank is a new poly. The following are new as of 2009-10: Steel fenders and tank cover with paint to match on those and the trunk also, complete upholstery with Mustang buckets, paint on dash and garnish moldings, Mooneyes guages, American Autowire harness, steering column, Mullins 4-spoke, Edelbrock 600, Navajo heater, Pertronix ignition, full exhaust, shocks, American Racing wheels with new radials, Tail lights with stands and license bracket, BLC headlights on shorty stands, mirrors, wiper, door checks, alternator, chrome starter and much more. I have noticed an antenna but no hint of a radio. Also istalled are a fire extinguisher, seat belts and an original clutch pedal hidden under the nicely done rugs. This car starts, runs, steers, stops quite well and all the electrics including lights and guages seem to function correctly. The title is a current NYS title/registration in my name is is ready to be signed over to the new owner. Shipping is the complete responsibility of the winning bidder. I will absolutely not take this car anywhere to be shipped. It must be picked up at my door. Looking for nice Sunbeam Tiger, 65-67 Corvette roadster or low mile 03-04 ZO6 trade-in. Thanks
