1990 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4x4 Up for sale is my 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4X4 with the Laredo package. I have owned the SUV for 11yrs and have a clear title with no liens. In 11/2008 I was pulling out of a fast food drive up and lightly tapped the car behind me. No damage on my back bumper but his hood was dinged. It was sent to insurance. It handles extremely well in snow and adverse conditions. It has settings for Part time, Full Time and 4LOW four wheel drive settings. Part time: all wheels turn - used for extreme road conditons. Full time: directs the power to the tire with most traction - can be used in any weather condition. 4LOW: is four wheel drive when usually pulling something heavy. It also has, of course, the 2 wheel drive setting for normal road conditions. The vehicle has an automatic transmisson. The interior has been kept in like new condition - the seats look in amazing condition with no wear marks. The headliner could use some regluing in spots. All the interior doors are also in like new condition. The exterior has your typical surface rust in areas, common for the age of the vehicle. The front grill has some cracks along with a missing rubber bumper mount. In 2005, I had the motor removed and taken to a machine shop in Cedar Falls where they completely disassembled and reinstalled with new parts top to bottom. The new motor has approx. 59,000 miles on it and runs strong. There is an issue with the cooling system - I believe the auxillary fan does not come on ever to help cool the motor at idling speeds. At normal speeds, the cooling is fine. Possibly a fan switch needed? And perhaps the thermostat should be changed out, too. The brakes work fine, the tires keep proper pressure, and the air conditioning has been changed over to the new R134a. It has a newer radiator, newer exhaust and has had the air / oil filters and fluid changed recently. This is a no reserve auction - highest bidder wins. Thanks, John
