Vehicle Detail

Relisted due to non-payment- twice now the winners did not have the funds to buy! Just to be clear: 1. When you bid, your bid is what you pay- not a start of negotiations. 2. The terms are as stated- paid in full within 7 days- no exceptions 3. Shipping is the buyer's responsibility and cost- the price of which is not an excuse to chisel the price down. I will cooperate with your hauler and help load. No problem holding it at no charge while you arrange transport. PLEASE- DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT HAVE READY FUNDS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS. This is a 1994 Ford E-350 with Life-Line ambulance body. Good-running 7.3 Diesel engine. This belonged to my local small-town ambulance company from new. It was maintained locally by a truck shop specializing in heavy-duty trucks and diesels. When the ambulance company replaced it with a new rig they sold this one to the shop that had maintained it. They used it a little as a road service vehicle but determined they needed a bigger truck, so I bought it from them. I collect old cars, and had a plan to convert the rear into comfortable living quarters and use it to tow my trailer to pick up purchased cars. I had great plans for it, and spent a lot of time sitting in it and planning; but I have to be honest about my available time and have let go of the plan, and now offer it for sale. MECHANICAL: The vehicle starts right up and runs well. I drove it the 8 miles home. Ran good but the brakes have problems; I suspect master cylinder, and the RF caliper seems to be sticky; but assume you'll need to go through the brakes before regular use. Steering may have a little wear somewhere too. Tires are all decent; has a couple spare wheels in the back that seem to have worn holes; should be good for spares. Not loud, but will probably need exhaust before long. BODY: All straight, with no damage, other than a couple small dents to the rear step bumper. Rest of the ambulance body is in good shape; all doors and storage compartments are intact and work. Some compartment door latches will need lubing and tinkering. As for the cab, the fenders and rockers have some rust due to the running boards. Replacements are readily available, new or used, since they're the same as any Econoline van from 1992-up. The cab, floors, hood, and doors are all good but the driver's door latch is messed up; you have to lock it for it to latch. All glass is good condition. Sliding door between cab and ambulance body is there and in good condition. INTERIOR: Dash is in good condition. Seats and carpet are intact but dirty. I had intended to just get really nice seats and carpet from a conversion van and just replace them. All the controls work, including stock radio. A/C is intact and works both front and rear, but not engaging; low on gas. Still has ambulance 2-way radio and ambulance control panel (more on that below). Inside the ambulance, all the interior is there and in good condition, just dirty. No stretcher. All lights work, including a programmable panel that controls all the various light and equipment combinations. Has both rear A/C and exhaust fan, both of which work. ELECTRICAL AND AMBULANCE EQUIPMENT: Still has all ambulance equipment intact and working except the short light bar over the cab. Still has the various crazy sirens and all the other lights. My neighbors are very impressed when I touch off the sirens On the dash is the main control panel, through which all the electrical is controlled. Even has a button that will raise the idle RPMs if you choose, among everything else. It interconnects with a similar panel in the back that controls and communicates back and forth. Everything appears to work as designed. In the back is a suction pump that could easily be reversed to make a compressor. Most of the exterior storage is accessible from the inside, and most are heated and lighted if you choose. There are several lights of all kinds and combinations for whatever you'd need. Of course it has a power inverter for on-board AC powered equipment. IMPORTANT: The ambulance comes with a ring binder with complete information on all the various equipment and features, including owner's manuals, operating instructions, schematics, etc.- everything you'd ever need! All the connections for all equipment are organized inside a closet-like panel, and amply labeled (pictured). SUMMARY: This is a vehicle with unlimited uses and potential. With a little work you could put it back in service as an ambulance, make a service vehicle, long-distance hauler, or work truck. Being that I bought it cheap, I will sell it cheap enough that you could part it and make good money; the ambulance gadgets alone are probably worth my reserve. I thought of doing that but I believe it will sell better as a complete unit. As an added bonus, it now has two new HD batteries in it. Buyer also has the option of taking off what he/she wants and leaving the rest here and I'll dispose of the remains. Bring your tools and your helpers! Vehicle is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I can arrange shipping for you with a dependable, fair-priced shipper, or will help you load onto your trailer or shipper's trailer. Due to the brakes, driving is not recommended. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time.
