BRIGHTON MOTORSPORTS 15650 N. Northsight Blvd., #1 Scottsdale, Arizona USA Sales - 480-483-4682 1965 Chrysler 300L Convertible Brighton Motorsports is pleased to offer this very rare and hard-to-find number-matching1965 Chrysler 300-L Convertible, in factory-original triple-mist blue colors and white convertible top. The 300-L was powered by Chrysler’s venerable 413-cid “Wedge” V8 engine, and the car was known as the “Banker’s Hot Rod” for its combination of luxury and power. This car is one of just 440 of the 300-L convertibles made in 1965, and one of even fewer known to exist. If you are a Chrysler or Letter Series enthusiast, this car is indeed a “needle in the haystack” find and must-have car. We are representing this car for a customer of ours here in Arizona. He purchased the car originally to be a project car for himself and his son – but as can happen their hobby turned to tuning imports and vintage race cars. So, this car is now on the market. When he purchased the car, he gave the car a good cleaning, had the fuel system redone, installed new hoses and a water pump, installed a new idler arm, repaired the rear pinion (still leaking but probably due to over filling the rear diff), installed a new battery, and installed a new headlight switch on the dash. He also organized all the spare parts and extras, including all of very hard to find hubcaps. As you can see from these photos, this is not a show car or restored. It is in fair condition and it is complete, and it starts, runs and drives. It’s had a lot of work done over the years and it’s a solid car, with no rust on the frame, and minimal rust under the front seat. You could drive and enjoy this car just as it is, or while you restored it over time – or tear it down for a complete frame-off restoration – it’s your choice. Last year, Hemmings’ magazine picked this car (L coupe or convertible) as one of the top candidates to find and restore since there are still parts and donor cars available. There not many L convertibles. The coupes are much less desirable. More information about the entire Chrysler “Letter Series” cars can be found on the club website, www.chrysler300club.com, where you’ll find very detailed history, data, technical specs, and more. It’s a great resource for the enthusiast. If you are searching for a good 1965 Chrysler 300-L Convertible, this is likely not only the only one for sale right now, but also a great value.
