1940 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup original condition, original drivetrain in running condition. 216 CID motor 4 speed on the floor. Body is in real good condition except for minor rust spots as shown in picture (bottom driver door and drivers front fender bottom section). Truck has good brakes. There are new brake lines and rebuilt wheel cylinders. Doors open and close as should, window cranks go up and down, but needs glass replaced. The passenger side window is cracked and the driver side window is missing. Front windshield cranks in and out like it's suppose to, but windshield glass needs to be replaced due to a previous owner installing plexiglass. Bed floor has been replaced with 3/4" treated plywood which you could bolt a wood floor kit to it. Cab mounts and cab corners are all in excellent condition. Cab floor has a minor rust hole that could easily be patched. Floor is removeable via bolts. Truck needs to be rewired to be road worthy. Truck does run, but noticed weep hole in water pump is leaking. It has new heater hoses, radiator hoses and fan belts along with a new battery. The only things missing from the truck are a hood ornament, bottom portion of the grill and tailgate (but have one from a 1950 truck that could be altered to fit). Tires are not dry rotted (60% tread) with all new tubes. Have a recent clear Illinois title. Truck is a good candidate to be restored to original or could easily be made into a hot rod or a rat rod.
