Selling my 85 Fj-60. Great daily driver, or an excellent candidate for restoration. I first got the Land Cruiser 'bug' about 16 years ago, am a true addict. Selling this beauty so that I can invest into more restoration of my first purchase, a '69 Fj-55. This FJ-60 is a very clean Original. Dry compression test 1-6 is as follows; 140, 141, 145, 145, 141, 140. There is about 166k miles on the 60. With 150# being factory new compression, I'm not sure if this motor was rebuilt before I purchased or not, or if it was just really taken care of very well. The appearance of the vehicle would suggest the latter. It is very clean inside and out. This truck is very tight, runs great, no rattles, pings, whines, it is a real pleasure to drive. 4 spd manual transmission shifts smoothly, clutch is good. 4WD works perfectly and shifts smoothly. Heater, front and rear works great. A/C works wonderfully and blows very cold. Truck does have an aftermarket Cruise Control installed on the Steering column, this does NOT work. New equipment 2010: New Brake Master Cylinder, rotors, rebuilt calipers, brake pads (front), (rear)--new wheel cylinders (4), new shoes, turned drums. Radiator Flush. 2011, Discovered a leak from oil pan, a pinhole underneath skid plate, purchased a used pan which I cleaned and treated with POR15® and new oil pan gasket, no more leaks. New TSTAT, New Spark Plugs, New A/C Belt, New Windshield, used tailgate. The bottom of the original tailgate had been rusted through and was a real eyesore. Mechanically, this Land Cruiser is a rock. It's unbelievably tight. Honestly runs great, and everything works. The BAD: (All minor cosmetic) The tailgate I replaced does have two small dents in it. Not being a body professional I did not address the small dents, only sanded and painted to match. The driver's rear door does have a dent in it just below the window. There is a small dent on the passenger's side rear just in front of the rear bumper. The rear chrome bumper does have a dent in it. The front rubber corners are missing from the front chrome bumper. There are some rusty bits here and there (see closeup pictures and video at website). Pictures are worth a thousand words, videos even more.
