1966 type 2 bus, once a 13 window; now a single cab. Tree fell on roof and has since been converted to a truck. There is rust in the usual places ...Jack points, cross members, a few places in the floor pans..easy patches or repairs to those who know there way around a plasma & welder. It does run ,drive and stop. I highly recomend doing a once over on the brakes. It does have new pads on the front; and it stops after 2 gentle pumps. There are new tie-rod ends and a new center pin on the top beam has been pressed in. New tires in the front 135's and new rears 165's. The bus has had some gremlins in the wiring...the wiring has had a short and caused a few wires to melt. I have done enough to make it right to drive legally on the road. Gas / amperage gauge dont work. I have replaced the float in the tank and that worked some days and some days it don't..The engine runs great, I replaced the rear main seal, new clutch ,pressure plate and t.o.b....All volkswagen's need work. This one is no different. I have had a blast driving it and it gets alot of attention when out on the road. This is a rat rod, something to throw your junk on and go to the swaps. The bed area is 2x4 wood construction with plywood decking. It is on its way out and will need replacing soon. There are drawers for storage or tools under the bed area..( treasure chest) Heres your chance to own a fun driving part of pop culture.....Clear title I have this listed here locally and have reserved the right to end auction early if purchased.
