***Update..***.. June 27th,2011**** Had someone come look at the Corvair today. The car started right up, and would drive, But the carbs just dont seem to be adjusted properly or the choke assy's arent functioning properly. The longer it ran, the better it would perform, But even then was sluggish. It will also need shocks. The floor boards have some sheetmetal work done but still needs some work on them. The car has been sitting for awhile and may just need to be ran, however it seems to still have some issue's with the carbs under acceleration. He is lowering the buy it now price $300.00 to allow for some additional carb work. Also there is no reserve. I would list this as a running/driving project. But hey.... THE BRAKES WORK FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! Just trying to be honest and with near 50 people watching the auction I dont want to mislead anyone. With that said...... Now, back to the listing!!!!! Thanks for looking, Up for bid is a 1964 Chevy Corvair. 2 door, 6cyl. dual carbs, manual 3 speed trans. Just had the carbs rebuilt, rebuilt fuel pump, New master cyl. brake shoes, rebuilt wheels cyl. SOLID rockers, The body is pretty decent, has some rust under the back bumper and a small area on the passenger door and pass. fender, (bareley noticeable) Lights work, (needs flasher unit for turn signals but they light up when tou turn them on.) The odometer shows 11k pretty sure it's 111k. (the shifter is a little stiff, may need adjusted. or greased) Interior is so so. Throw some of those rat rod blanket things over them and your good to go. Carpet isn't all that and prev. owner had done some floor patching. THE ORIGINAL AM RADIO STILL WORKS!!! Cant find the key.. But it starts without using one "NO" you dont need a screwdriver, lol!! All in all a fun little car that gets tons of attn. tires have dryrot..
