Vehicle Detail

For sale is a rare 69 Cougar convertible that I purchased from the original owner about 2 years ago. The owner was 93 when I bought the car so it was always adult owned. All dealer paperwork came with car as indicated by pictures. The car is an original southern California garaged car and now sits in my Arizona garage. Absolutely rust free!! Options include the rare tilt-away-steering (currently not hooked up),power roof, power disc brakes, power steering, power windows. Hideaway headlights work and do not leak open over time. Sequential taillights work fine. Original steel wheels with center caps and trim rings still on the car and an original steel wheel in the trunk as the spare. I removed BUT RETAINED the original valve covers, air cleaner assembly, carb, front license plate holder, bumper guards. Since owning the car I have replaced the carb with an EDELBROCK 600cfm, Flowmaster mufflers, new tailpipes, radiator hoses,4 new tires-blackwall side out, convertible top hydralic hoses, new water pump, thermostat, new fuel pump, alternaor, new battery, belts, tuneup. The original 351W 4 barrel motor literally grenaded on me due to faulty work from the previous owners so-called mechanic. I replaced the motor with another Windsor out of another 69 Cougar I got from a reputable guy here in the local Cougar club. It is a 2 barrel but I retained the original intake manifold off the grenaded 4 barrel motor. The donor motor has new intake and exhaust manifold gaskets, valve cover gasketsfreeze plugs.. Radiator has been serviced with new coolant as well.Plus, all items as listed in beginning of paragraph. The car will need new interior(seat covers,carpet-the old of which i removed),a top cylinder-because it leaks, roof, some interior trim pieces which are readily available at West Coast Classic Cougars who know and have everything. Could use a tranny pan gsket on the FMX transmission which is original to the car. I would replace a steering hose too. I still have close to 1000.00 dollars in reciepts. The owner had the car cheaply repainted back in the 80's and it shows!! Can you say Earl Shives?? But there are no major dents and ABSOLUTELY NO RUST ON THIS CAR ANYWHERE!! Drivers side fender looks to have been removed or replaced at some time in its life. The car runs and drives well. and we both know not many ragtops were built. This is an excellent find for its age. Hate to sell it but I may be relocating and will not have the room to take it with me.On Jun-21-11 at 18:42:59 PDT, seller added the following information: Some time ago,i removed the console, scuff plates and back seat arm rest panels. All speaker holes and speakers were there when i got the car. I also have the original jack and top boot. Glass rear window is not cracked and the dash is perfect. I will take more pics and just email me and i will send them as i think i capped my limit on pics here. I have great feedback as well. Thanks again!!On Jun-24-11 at 12:34:12 PDT, seller added the following information: I am being slammed with questions about the car from here and will do my best to answer them in a timely manner. Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime. Thanks again.
