Vehicle Detail
lone7eagle Store This vehicle will not be sold below the set reserve price but is priced below what was invested into it. There are no labor cost and the parts that were replaced as precautionary measures are not included in the reserve price. I have tallied up what receipts I have on hand and they amount to over $2500. And if you took this off the reserve price, you get $4400. for just the vehicle. If you were to add the labor and parts cost not accounted for, the grand total would be a bit over $8900. This work was done between January and March of 2011 specifically for the sale of this vehicle and the only thing that was not purchased for it was new tires, which are good, we are already taking a loss and are not giving away free tires too. Besides, if what the tires are mounted to are not worth a darn, whats the point? As you read the list of parts installed you should note the front drive train has practically been overhauled and as stated above, allot of parts were replaced as precautionary measures due to it age and/or condition. The milage will be noted as you read on and note the overhauled front drive train which darn near zero's out its milage. I have a brand new, never used 10" "rapid hitch" ($250.value) available for an extra $175. or its included free with the "buy now" price. I also have a used "stowmaster 5000" tow bar for an additional $50. if you were to want to tow. Note the body has several minor blemishes and/or dings and the interior is show room clean. If you read the specs, the title is clear and you would be the 2nd owner and you should also note it gets about 21 mpg hwy and 15 city. Someone needs to take advantage of this very good buy unlike us receiving this vehicle in poor shape. Down time forced us to buy another used vehicle, a better suited 2001 crew cab pickup, leaving us to make this one right at most of our own expense. You won't be disappointed I'm sure of that! Parts installed in 2011 A 60,000 mile trans. changed due to a faulty cooling line---all four cooling lines and all four fittings (fittings at trans and radiator)---trans+engine+front transfer case=oil change---trans+engine oil+air+fuel=filters---engine serpentine belt (salvaged old one)---front transfer case seals---front left CV axel (had torn boot)---BOTH front wheel hub assemblies (had one bad ABS sensor pickup and cannot buy just the pickup-note the assm. consist of hub+wheel bearing+ABS pickup and also salvaged one good ABS pickup)---Front flex brake lines ( a precautionary measure)---ALL front and rear rotors--- ALL front and rear brake pads including parking brake shoes---ALL calliper hardware kits (to rebuild the callipers---BOTH rear calliper seals and boots (to rebuild the calliper cylinder)---BOTH rear brake dust covers (were in poor condition/precautionary measure)---4X4 module (4X4 WAS not working)---NEW tail lights (both were broke)---BOTH license plate bulbs+sockets (both WERE not working)---NEW spare tire hoist (WAS in poor shape)---Lower right dash cover ( down by feet was broke/precautionary measure/cosmetic)---Windshield wipers (WERE bad)---I may have missed some things but you should get the jest of it. The engine oil is hard to read the dipstick cause its so clean yet after more than a month old which is another good sign of a strong engine. The engine has 155.573 miles on it and has a whole lot of life left. A reprogrammed (for this vehicles VIN.) PCM-ECM (on board computer) was purchased (none returnable) prematurely and is included with vehicle but was not included in parts cost! If you want more pictures, we would gladly email them to you. On Jun-21-11 at 08:02:09 PDT, seller added the following information: COMMENTS We envy the person who buys this vehicle cause we do want it but cannot warrant insuring 3 vehicles when we could only drive two at a time not to mention the cost of licensing and so on. We only expected the faulty trans cooling line and broken rear tail lights but as you can tell, that was not the case. Its new owner will only need to shop for new tires at a later date since they are fair to good yet. Nothing mechanical should have to be done to this vehicle for years to come. And the few cosmetic blemishes are a matter of choice to have mended. If you want a freshly serviced used vehicle without the worries of something wearing out and and having costly repairs, this vehicle fits the bill. I had chose this vehicle at first because of the stronger towing capacity over the earlier blazers which I did have. The trailblazer took the blazer's place and is a much better unit all around. Yet, I am still favoring my new used crew cab pickup for the body style even though the mileage is higher, a year older, and does not even do as well for gas mileage as the trailblazer. We just hope that someone makes sense of all the work done in that is has been thoroughly gone through at our expense, not the buyer's. We also find it strange that no one locally has even bothered to take a look at it, and we know that once they did, they would want it too. So all we can say now is, don't miss out cause it won't be priced any lower since we can afford to sit on it for a bit. It is not in use at this time but gets routine exercise so all the new work done on it stays in check. On Jun-22-11 at 00:17:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Questions and Answers Do you know what it books for? Yes, according to car fax and a old customer and friend that is now a used car dealer says for its year and mileage, it books at give or take $7.400. Note that banks use this as a guide for financing and dealers use it as a starting point. This one with the newer trans and parts would have a price in the low $8,000 range and if it had a perfect body and new tires, closer to ten as you do find 02's at that price here even on Ebay. Does everything work? Yes, both power mirrors, power windows, locks, and brakes, AC, CD, cruise, 4X4, if its got it, it works. And to note: I did not see it in the specs but it has Drivers, Passengers, and Side air bags that are mounted in the sides of the front seats. It does not have power seats but both have a nice lumbar adjuster. Did you say you rebuilt the front transfer case? No, While we had one side apart to replace the CV axel and the other side to replace the hub assembly, we were advised about the seals which were weathered. So while it was apart we had both seals replaced and one secondary bearing (a bearing that I understand keeps the stress off the seal) along with fresh oil. Transfer case itself was just fine. We chose to have both hubs replaced since they were both originals even though only one had a bad ABS pickup and along with new rotors and brakes, that pretty much covers the front drive train.
