1967 Honda CL

For sale is a 1967 Honda CL77 305 305cc Scrambler motorcycle. This is a non-molested, non-restored original CL77 with low original miles of 5863. It can cold start with about 3 kicks, and the bike idles and runs great. This would be a great bike to ride now in the summer and later do a full restoration. Or just leave the bike as is. I bought this from the orginal owner, and I have the original title from 1967. The Secretary of State gave the original back to me for a souvenir when they titled the CL77 in my name. It was stored for a long time in a cabin, and since then I have had stored it in my climate controlled garage. From what I can see it is 100% original and 100% complete except for missing the left mirror, left side cover knob, and rear wheel brake light switch. It even has it's original tool kit! It has the very rare original plastic badges on the gas tank (The left badge has some cracking on it). I drained the gas tank, cleaned and rebuilt the carburetors and petcock with new parts. Using the metal frames of the original air filters, I fabricated new foam filters. I have installed brand new tires, all new wheel bearings, new fuel lines, new points, new spark plugs, new battery, set the timing, set the valves, and it runs like a champ with lots of power. This is not currently a show bike (yet), as it is all original. The rear fender is bobbed. It could use some new rubber on the passenger rear pegs. It has a small tear in the seat. It has some dings and scratches here and there, some light pitting and light rust, but it is in great condition for a 44 year old motorcycle. All the electrics work (with the exception of the missing brake light switch), all lights work, the headlight's low/high works. The tank is clean and free of rust. All the cables pull through well and smoothly. The brakes are strong. The exhaust system is it in great condition, solid, and has no holes. There is light corrosion and pittting on the exhaust chrome, but still can shine up nicely. It shifts through all the gears well and smoothly. The clutch is strong. The chain is in very nice shape and there is virtually no wear on the sprocket. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. The item is sold as is, and there are no returns. A $100 deposit is required within 24hrs of the auction closing. The final amount must be paid within 1 week of the auction closing. The bike must be picked up within 2 weeks.
