1961 Nash Metropolitan Convertible Project Car. Purchased in Sept 1992 as a "barn find" in Davenport, Iowa. The body has been in climate controlled storage for almost 20 years. During this time, we have purchased a lot of parts to rebuild and restore the car. Motor and transmission have only 25,000 miles. Car was parked in a barn, the tires went flat and the floor rotted from the moisture from the dirt floor. This is a true convertible with the triangle braces on the frame. It has the bow top, interior seats, all exterior chrome, rust free early hood, early hood chrome grill, and lots of spare parts. Also, included are a set of disc brakes from an MG midget which fit the Met. There is a replacement floor pan, new reproduction rocker panels, new fender patch panels, complete set of rims and tires. There are lots more spare parts included. Car must be picked up. It is not transportable through car transporters because the rear end is out of the vehicle. Low reserve. I am just too old to do this project any more. This car has the potential to be a nice, authentic convertible Met. We want it to go to a good home. Happy Bidding!
