NO EXCEPTIONS. THIS IS A PRIVATE PARTY SALE. Up for bid is my 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500. This is a number's matching original GT500 4-Speed, NOT A CLONE OR REPLICA. Please refer to the Marti Report at the bottom of the auction in addition to the 70+ photos for further details. This Shelby is equipped exactly as it was originally per the Marti report with the only exception being the interior color. It was originally equipped with a Saddle interior but was changed to black by a previous owner, which I feel goes far better with the Lime Gold exterior. The Lime Gold is a perfect color for any 1968 muscle car, unlike many Shelbys which have been repainted in red or black with stripes. As you can see, the exterior paint is very good. The only rust visible is a small pencil eraser-sized spot on the passenger's side front edge of the door, very common for any Mustang. There is a slight crack on the fiberglass hood, also very common for Shelbys. It is on the leading edge of one of the hood scoops. The interior is in great condition with no rips, tears or cracks. The Pop-Away steering wheel is not working. I have never looked into it. Mechanically, this GT500 runs excellent. The clutch has a slight chatter. It is very fast and a solid running car. The tires are reproductions of the original Goodyear Speedway E70-15's which are near new. This Shelby still has steel wheels and hubcaps as most Shelby's were equipped from the factory. The engine has been immaculately detailed and always draws a crowd. All the original body and VIN/Shelby tags are still in place. Refer to photos of all the tags below. The glove box has been signed by Carroll Shelby. There is a very low reserve on this GT500. Don't let this one get away, factory 4-Speed GT500's are rare and difficult to find!
