Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1970 Ford F100 Ranger Long Wheelbase Truck with a 300 CID Inline 6 Cylinder Engine, Automatic Transmission, Factory Power Steering, Factory Air Conditioning, and Factory Power Assist Brakes. Other features include a cargo light, emergency flashers, cigarette lighter, AM radio (needs a new speaker), and the hard to find full chrome trim package inside and out, including the tailgate. This truck has just 97,960 original miles. My father has owned this truck for the last 11 years. He bought it from a man who had owned it for many years and who had let it sit up for several years. My father installed new brakes, along with a new gas tank/line/sending unit. He also put in new plugs, wires, distributor, points, gaskets, transmission seals, lifters, muffler, and shocks. The engine does not use any oil. 7 years ago he had it repainted red and white. The red has been clear coated. At that time he also installed a new seat cover, carpet, door weatherstripping, and dash cover, along with a receiver hitch to pull his fishing boat the two miles from the house to the lake, something he's done less than a handful of times. The bed has some pitting from holding water but is solid and has been repainted. The tires are in really good condition because it has only been driven about 5,500 miles since my father bought it. 2 and a half years ago the famous Pony Carburetors Inc. completed a very expensive rebuild and plating of the carburetor. At that time my father also installed a new water pump, fuel pump, heater hoses, and heater core. Dad also bought a new windshield rubber but has not installed it yet. The windshield has a rock peck that created a cloudy spot. The left front brake is grabbing and I believe the carb's accelerator pump is not working correctly. The big line going to the AC dryer is split but is an easy fix with a line repair kit. Other than that, you have a good looking classic truck with cold factory AC. The heat and radio work fine. Everything on this truck worked until Dad let it sit up the last 2 years. This truck just needs someone to give it a little attention. As you can see, my father put a lot of money into this truck, but it's being offered here with a fair reserve. His loss is your gain. The winning bidder will be responsible for paying the deposit via PayPal and setting up and taking delivery of the truck, including having it trailered.
