Vehicle Detail
Completely original 1980 GS1000-S Suzuki. This is an original Wes Cooley replica, produced after the famous racer won the AMA championship in 1978. This is a "one year only" model bike, so it is very rare. It is also very "fast". This bike has been ridden quite a bit, as it has 76,000 miles on it. But it still runs great, and is quick as lightning. It does have a minor rattle in the engine at idle, but soon as you touch the throttle, it's gone. I've ran it as hard as I dare, and can find nothing wrong with it. All the lights and turn signals work properly. It has a small rip in the seat, and a couple minor touch up spots on the white paint, but otherwise is in very nice shape for it's age. This is a true collectors bike. It appears to be untouched, except for the above mentioned items. The tires are fair. Everything works. The frame is in excellent shape. It really needs nothing to ride. But realizing it has this many miles, I cannot guarantee it will not need a rebuild in the future. It's possible that it was rebuilt in the past, but ooking at the engine, it appears to have never been apart. I have no way of knowing. I do know it runs fine, and don't think you'll be dissapointed with it. It comes with a clear title, and owners manual. I am only selling it to make some room. I'm actually reducing my enventory by about 30 bikes in the next couple months, so check back often for more vintage bikes. I am selling mostly Kawasaki triples and Z1 900s. I have very fair prices on all my bikes, and am putting package deals together for Mid Ohio in July. My prices have never been lower. I have at least 100 triples, and will be listing them as time permits. As for payment, I'll accept $1,000 down payment thru pay pal, and the balance by certified bank check, cash, or wire transfer if you are out of the United States. I have sold over 200 bikes overseas, so I have experience with shipping. I can also have it delivered anywhere in the United States for less than you can drive to get it. If you are coming to Mid Ohio Vintage Motorcycle Days in July, I can hold it until then, or possibly deliver it to you there for no charge. As always, I am open to offers or interesting trades. I also have it for sale locally, so have the right to sell it before the end of the auction. If you need more info, please email me with any questions. You can also call me at: 567-295-9060 I will help you any way I can with loading or shipping. Thank you for looking. Don't let this one pass you by. You don't see them very often. God bless, Rich at Motorcycle Missions (Ohio) USA.
