It's time to start culling the herds of antique vehicles crowding up my garage that I don't ride anymore. I got this bike about 7 or 8 years ago. I never did much but ride it around the neighborhood. About 3 years ago, I started having carburation problems. The engine either wanted to run like a rocket or not at all --a vacuum leak I guess. I fiddled with a lot of things and finally got it tolerable with another carburetor. I'm still not completely satisfied with the way it runs. It seems like once I adjust the choke, idle and fuel/air and run it a while, it needs adjusting again. I'm not a mechanic. It's an old bike and people who aren't willing to wrestle with these things shouldn't buy old bikes. As to the appearance, the pictures pretty much say it all. It's not in mint condition. The engine is a bit dirty. The exhaust pipes are repros that got hot and the chrome discolored. The paint job has a few chips and blemishes. The spokes were rusted when I got it. Rather than replace them all--a big job-- I just painted over them. One of the pictures shows it isn't very noticeable at all. The bike tipped over recently and the mirror holder broke. It was replaced and I think I got the controls back right. I rode it around yesterday and it was running fine until I killed the engine and had to fiddle with the choke to get it started again. The battery functions. I've never been able to keep battery in these things working in like new condition. I usually charge it before I ride it. Then by the next time I ride it, the battery needs charging again. So there it is, don't bid if you're not prepared to fiddle with things on it.
