Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevelle Malibu Sedan. Very good condition with 39,000 original miles. Factory deluxe cloth interior like new. Numbers matching 307 V8, Powerglide automatic transmission. Power steering and brakes. Near perfect floors and trunk. Appears to be original paint from doors back. Rare factory shoulder belts. Runs and drives like a dream. Recent tune-up including new master cylinder with complete flush and bleed of entire brake system. Open air cleaner added, but original included. AM-FM radio with AUX & USB port allowing songs to be stored and played on a USB flash drive. I use this mode and it works great. Dash is uncut and original AM radio is included along with antenna. Retractable antenna installed in factory location. See photo of all original equipment including original rims and dog-dish hubcaps, Service, Overhaul and Fisher Body manuals & Factory IBM build card. Jack is not pictured, but is included with sale of the car. Wheels/tires/hubcaps on the car are from a 71 chevelle and go with the car. This is not a perfect car as it has some minor flaws, dents, scratches and faded paint, but is a mostly unmolested survivor. Each rear quarter has small areas of rust at the very bottom that have not been repaired so no body filler exists in these areas, but as can be seen in the photos these areas are small and minimal. Recommend replacing back window seal if used daily in wet weather as there is evidence of prior leakage (staining) in the trunk area, but I am unsure as I never let the car get wet as long as I have owned it. The underside of the floors appear to be freshly undercoated in the photos, but they are not, they are just that nice. Light surface rust only on the frame; no rust holes or rot, very clean. Typical minor oil drips when stored for long periods. I've really "nit-picked" my own car for most people would call this a "mint" car, but I'd rather be upfront. Dare to be different at a fraction of the cost of a 2-door that you will be proud to own and not afraid to drive. I do not have to sell this car, but have other interests at the present time and if it does not sell I'll keep it without hesitation. "BUY IT NOW" BONUS: If "Buy It Now" is used I will include the items in the photo that show a Mallory HEI Distributor & Accel wires, Goodyear tires mounted on 4 American Eagle Alloy wheels with 8 center caps & acorn wheel nuts all with less than 1,000 miles on them. These items will only be offered with the "Buy it now" option or if you do not want them I'll give a $500 credit, but the value is easily 4 times that. Clear PA Antique title in hand. I will allow the Antique Plate to be transferred with the car to a PA buyer if you desire. This is important as these "purple" plates are no longer available unless transferred. The current plate is not as attractive in my opinion. Car will not be released until paid in full. I will not sell or ship the car out of the country. Remember your Bid is a legal commitment to buy. Car is available at my home for inspection prior to auction end only. I do have a lift to aid inspection. $500 cash deposit within 3 days of auction end and balance in 7 days unless prior agreement made. Please ask any questions if you desire additional information or pictures. Thanks for viewing my auction. Remember that this car is basically original and not restored, however I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Car is sold "as-is" and is over 40 years old so there are no guarantees. On Jun-16-11 at 12:20:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I have lowered the reserve and "Buy It Now" twice since the auction has started and the 54 of you who have added my auction to your "watch" list so far may be thinking that by the end of the week I'll be giving the car away, but this will be the last price change as it is now right at my bottom line. Thank you for your interest in this great car.
