1977 BMW R-Series

You are bidding on a 1977 BMW R75/7 with only 10,500 miles. The bike runs as it should and there is nothing wrong with it as I can see. There is a small dent, about the size of a dime, in the top of the gas tank as the picture will show and also a few scratches on the right side of the gas tank. The inside of the tank is very clean though and the petcocks are in good shape. Also some scratches on the front fender which is probably normal for a 34 year old bike. Directly behind where the battery sets, there are several battery acid stains on the rear fender, somebody was not watching what they were doing at some point in its lifetime.The small plastic strip on the left side of the seat is missing and there is some wear on the top of the seat and pictures will show this also. The tires have alot of tread left. There is some surface rust on both rear shocks and I am sure it will clean-up with some cleaner after removing the springs. Everything works as far as I know, including all the electrics on this bike. There is a crack in the glass of the headlite lense ( lower right hand corner ) that somebody has fixed with some clear silicone it looks like. Everything is original, along with the Luftmeiser fairing, excluding the blue inlaid handle bar grips and the tires. They originally came with Continental tires as original equipment.The tool kit is complete with the original tire patching kit along with the original 750cc side cover emblems. The original owners manual and bike service manual are also included in the sale as the last picture will show. The battery in this bike is about 3 years old now, but works just fine yet. This bike is one that I would not be afraid of to just jump on and fill it with gas and go across the country on. If driven correctly, I am sure it will get at least 45 mpg.
