I am listing this 1983 Nissan 280 ZX. It has a 6 cylinder engine with a 5 speed manual trans. The car runs great and I currently drive it regularly. I bought it recently knowing it needed some body work. However, once I started doing the work I noticed it has 2 spots where the frame needs repair. It was rusted almost in half on both sides right under floor pans. I had some frame rails made and welded in place so it is reinforced and I drive it every day. Since I am out of work as of Aug. 1st due to contract lost by company i work for I am starting a business rebuilding cars so I need to sell this to get a truck. Here is what I know is bad on the car. bottom of front fenders are rusty, several spots along the back half have rust spots but most are just surface rust. the floor pans need replaced or repaired, few dents on passenger door, there is a crack in windshield (shown in picture that im pointing at), The hood has a couple spots, but the bra hides most.and the trans makes a rattling sound. I want to make it clear that the trans works fine it pulls good it just makes a rattling noise. Like I said I drive it back and forth to work. I know that sounds like a lot of work and it is but this car has a very high value, so it is worth the work. I looked the car up on NADA and the low end for this car is around $3600, and the high end is $9200. and that is with 180,000 miles. Now to keep it fair here is what I know is good. Engine runs fine with no noises or misses, no smoke and doesnt leak. I have not added oil in the 1000 miles ive driven it and it looks like new oil still. clutch is good, brakes are good (4 wheel disk) interior is nice (but not perfect), tires are fairly new, steering is nice and tight, all lights work, A/C is very cold. car has pw, ps, pb, Anyway thats about all I know about the car since I havent had it very long. I do know it is a fun little car to drive that gets around 25mpg. Oh and the computer voice that tells you the headlights and brakes are on and doors are open and fuel low still works. and so does the analog clock on the dash. It has a check button that checks headlights,taillights, brake lights, wiper fluid, and coolant level for you also. If car doesnt sell here I will be parting out since I need a truck. Car is being sold as a project but it is very driveable as it is. I noticed the title score is low so i checked the discrepencies and it is obvious that someone either entered the number wrong or someone told the DMV the wrong number since mileage is right at 100,000 miles off. look at the title report and you will see what i am talking about. Car has right around 180,000 mileage I cant think of anything else right now but if you have any questions please ask. As always I am selling this with no reserve high bid wins.
