Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1985 Chevy K10 Scottsdale with 90,500miles, a true survivor! Normally these trucks are sent to the junkyard rusty and worn out yet this truck has been pampered all of its existence. I’m the 3rd owner of the old truck. The second owner owned it for over 16 years and took very good care of it. The 2nd owner including myself mainly kept it as a toy or cruiser, not an everyday driver. I bought the truck on ebay in a small town in Kansas one hour southwest of Kansas City. This truck is equipped with a rare package of options. These options include power locks, power windows, sliding rear window, two tone paint, vinyl floors, four wheel drive, A/C, cruise control, tilt wheel, dual fuel tanks, original AM/FM radio, and cargo light. The red and white paint is 100% original and still shows well. There are no replacement patch panels or body filler (bondo). The only aftermarket modifications done to this truck would be the addition of the aftermarket wheels, 33X12.5X15” tires, 3” Rough Country suspension lift and diamond plate running boards. Mechanical-Engine/Transmission The engine runs strong and burns no oil. There are no major leaks. The engine is a 305 V8 and has never been molested. It starts up with ease, no matter the weather conditions. Motor oil was changed twice a year. The A/C does NOT work and I have never had it checked since I have owned it. Transmission and four wheel drive shifts smoothly with no slips. The transmission oil and filter was replaced in 2009. The water pump, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor were replaced in 2009. The truck will need new exhaust. Mechanical- Suspension. The tires have less than 1000miles on them. Front end is tight and alignment is perfect. The front end was greased twice a year. I still have the spare set of original GM steel wheels, beauty rings and caps. Interior Overall the interior is all original and I would give it a 9 on a 0-10 scale. The radio still works and has never been tampered with. The dash pad looks brand new with no fading or cracks. The door cards are shiny and solid yet the by the passenger armrest there is some discoloration. The power windows and locks work perfectly. The floor looks brand new. There are no major tears in the bench seat or any major wear or structural damage. The switch for the dual fuel tanks is fully operational including the switch for the cargo light. The gauges are fully functional and the analog clock keeps time perfectly! The interior of this old truck is 100% nostalgic. It has no headliner and the dashboard is steel painted the same as the body. The cab has the old vent windows that flip out on each door. The floor is vinyl and the ashtray is all steel. These trucks were built before the age of today’s briefcase haulers. Exterior Exterior is overall in great shape for its age. The inside of the bed has never been beat up. Due to its age, it does have rust. There is rust behind the rear mud flaps. There is rust that has started in the cab corners and surface rust starting over the rear wheel wells. The front fenders and doors are solid and free of any major rust. There is a small dent in the lower side of the bed just in front of the passenger rear wheel. The paint still has a deep shine and the truck still presents very well! Bid with cofidence! With a little TLC this truck can be a true one of a kind!
