The speedo and cable were all intact. I connected a drill to the speedo cable and I ran it up to about 35 MPH. It worked smoothly and the odometer works too. Yes the chrome is speckled. You may be able to clean it up, or just replace if you are doing a nice restoration. The front fender has a dent, I think it could be dollied out, or just replace, new ones are not very much. It is a 4 speed with clutch.
