Vehicle Detail
I purchased this Model A Tudor from a family who had it "buried" (covered by other stored items) since the 1970's. They apparently had started an amateur restoration and then quit, as many beginners do. My observations: ---Tires -- hold air, decent condition. ---Fenders -- back two are nice - one has no weld, one might have a very liitle weld. front- front two have weld fut are solid and in decent condition - very useable. --Hood - is nice, no dents, louvers are nice - missing the two rods that hold the top to the two sides. Readily available thru vendors. --Doors -- have had outside bottoms replaced. Passenger door has no underside holes and the inside part has been pulled away from the vertical back of the door. Drivers door has some minor rust out on the bottom. --Cowls - good, but drivers side has had some repair. --Body-- minor rust out of inside of back fender wells, Sub-framing will need some replacement - and these pieces are available from Model A vendors. --Steering wheel - nice. --Running boards - nice, look like they have been replaced - new. --Lights - nice --Radiator shell - nice. --Glass--appears all windows present except passenger door window. Also, some extra windows on back seat (?). I don't know if safety glass is present, but I recommend always have safety glass - especially in front. --Top-- gone --Windshield frame-- fine --Front end - it appears that the front end has been restored as I believe the kingpins are new. --Motor, clutch housing, tranny, driveshaft - all have been removed from the but are being sold with the car. Includes generator, starter, and carburetor. --Radiator - no large chunks taken out of it - appears to work. --Title - there is no title with this car. This car has a decent paint job (except the doors) and the sheet metal is solid. It has definite possibilities. The car is also for sale locally.
