Selling my 1961 AMC Americia Rambler Convertible, Same car style used in the Hit TV show 3rd Rock form the Sun. This car has had the following: New Top, which is automatic, New Tires, Re-upholstred interior but done poorly by doors they are starting to detach.Replaced fuel filter,v belt, fuel pump. NAPA complete rebuild of long block assembly,line bore and honed cylinders,cam journal, crankshaft,polished all lower end parts and reasssembled Cost 1,894.42 + 1,300.parts Cleaned and recore radiator, sealed transmission externally after rebuild.A list of some of the New parts, cam bearings, timing set, pistons,main set, rooset,gasket set,ring set,maniford,generator,regulator, Car has been driven about 5,000 miles since all work listed had been done. This car is well on its way to restoration. Thankyou for your intrest. On May-23-11 at 19:08:46 PDT, seller added the following information: It has Air, and defrost but, it does not have AC. I never used it but after further review. The air is only a fresh air intake and not air conditioning. Also it is an American Not an America. On May-26-11 at 07:14:28 PDT, seller added the following information: A few have asked about engine it is the original engine: and it is ,the Overhead Valve engine which was optional in the deluxe or super Models and standerd on the Custom Model which is what this one is. Also in regaurd to rust: this car is 50 years old and has only superficial rust areas around entire original painted areas about the size of a dine and only a couple they are only on the surface and nothing through the metal.
