1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Clone Up for your consideration is a super clean 1971 Chevelle SS clone. This triple black beauty is equipped with an automatic transmission coupled with a chevy powerplant. The (non-original) high performance engine was built by the previous owner at the cost of nearly $6000. It's a 4 bolt main/350 cid bored out 4 over and stroked to 385 cid. It has an edelbrock 5000 performer intake manifold mated with an edelbrock 650 cfm 4 barrel carb and high volume oil pump. The automatic transmission is a 700 R4 B&M (4 speed)/B&M lock-up kit/B&M 2000 stall converter. Motor/Tranny has about 6000 miles on it. Car is equipped with power steering/brakes. The car has has a ton of recent parts including: new chrome bumpers, crager wheels, flowmaster exhaust, hedman headers, new carpet, bench, radio, shocks, windshield, springs radiator. PLEASE NOTE: I would best describe this car as a super clean turn key driver, and not a show car. Though it was painted just 2 years ago, it does have some cosmetic shortcomings. Although the body and undercarriage are virtually rust free, there is some surface rust in the trunk. Also, some of the paint is beginning to bubble arounf the rear window, trunk lid, and rear fender areas (see pictures). After all has been said, this car runs great and fires right up every time. Cruises real nice at 70 MPH and sounds super mean, most people assume it's a 454. This car is a real attention getter, be prepared to be stared at, waved at, and have pictures taken of it.
