Vehicle Detail

1980 Honda CB900 Custom. This is my first bike that I purchased 3 years ago. The bike did not run when purchased, the original blue paint was badly faded, the seat and fairing pocket cover were torn. I've slowly tinkered with this bike, got my M license with it and have enjoyed it for 3 years. New items include: - Rebuilt Carbs- New custom paint (3D Flames with ghost skulls)- Exhaust heat wrap- Rear brake master cylinder rebuilt- New fork seals- New seat cover for a more modern look- New battery- (4) new bullet style air cleaners- Fresh oil and oil filter change This bike runs good. It has 43,600 miles on it, tires are good, brakes are good. The bike smokes a little on start-up but otherwise runs pretty good. I've put about 5,000 miles on it since I bought it. There is some rust, some corrosion, etc.... If I were to list the bad, they are the cruise locking mechanism on the throttle does not hold, and the hi/low switch thumb cover is missing (although the hi/lo does still work). I am not going to list all the imperfections as it is not a show bike, but it is a good bike. NO RESERVE AUCTION. This is not a show bike by any means, it is something I bought to play around with and now I am selling because I am upgrading to a new bike I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. Happy biddingOn May-27-11 at 17:25:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention in original post: - Carbs do not leak whatsoever- Center stand was removed from bike- Small oil leak from dipstick. A very small oil spot appears around the kickstand when the bike is sitting for a little while. I think its just a bad rubber on the dipstick, very minor so I never bothered to repair
