Vehicle Detail
First off I want to let everyone know that I am listing this car for my cousin Brandon (who has no clue how to list an item on ebay) and ANY questions and/or offers should be directed straight to him at his mobile number 731-926-6900. He is taking offers on the car and the car is for sale locally so it may sell before the auction ends so I do reserve the right to end this auction early in that regard. This auction is for a Matt Kenseth NASCAR car. It was run in the 2006 70 lap Bud Shootout. Here is a wed site that shows Team #17 car line up and when they were used http://www.jayski.com/schemes/2006/17cup.htm and you can see this particular car has is picture taken on 2-12-2006 at the bud shootout race. I don’t know anything about NASCAR so I will list all the specs taken directly off the build sheet that was behind the drivers seat. Dimension: -Wheelbase: 110” -Treadwidth: 60” (center to center) -Height: 51” -Overall length: 16’5” -Weight (w/o driver): 3400 minimum -weight distribution: 1800 lbs.(left); 1600 lbs.(right) Equipment -Engine: 358ci Ford V-8 -Carburetor: Holley -Ignition/Ignition Wires: MSD -Spark Plugs: Bosch -Battery: Reactor Cell -Camshaft: Wiseco/Roush -Pistons: Xceldyne -Valves: Carrilo -Crankshaft: Moldex/Bryant -Engine Bearings: Michigan Clevite -Shifter linkage: Hurst -Headers: Roush Racing/Reinhart -Clutch: Quartermaster -Oil System: Roush Racing(dry sump) -Engine Oil: Pennzoil -Oil Filter: Wix -Axles: Speedway Engineering -Wheels: Aero(10”width, 15” diameter) -Tires: Goodyear Eagle Racing Tires(Official tires of NASCAR) -Brakes: Wilwood -Shock Absorbers: Bilstein -Hose ends & fittings: Aeroquip -Rear Suspension: 9” Ford rearend housing -Bellhousing: Ford -Belts: Goodyear -Gauges: Autometer Safety: -Safety Belts: Simpson -Fire Extinguisher: Fire Bottle Safety System -Window Net: Simpson Going on the info I was told for the listing the transmission is hollow and the rear end is hollow. As you can see in the pics the fuel cell has been removed along with the engine management computer. The engine is perfectly clean without one spec of oil on it anywhere and the oil system is completely full of clean oil so there should be no reason why this engine wouldn’t fire up and run once you add the ecu and the fuel cell. To the owners knowledge everything else is there and still set up the way it was when Matt drove it(and I know enough to know that it really is a complete setup and looks absolutely amazing when it comes to quality parts and assembly so I will agree with the owner). Seriously this thing is an absolute work of art to look at the engineering behind it and this coming from a guy who’s never watched a NASCAR race. And in one of the pics I tried to snap the engine specific info that was DOT matrixed into the right head but if you cant make out this bit of crucial engine information please call Brandon to read this info to you. There appears to be a lot of tire left and all tires look equally worn. The body has very little rubbing rash on it. The only thing needed to complete the body is the front nose assembly and a Ford Fusion front nose piece can be bought for $450-$600 then just have the appropriate sponsor stickers made for a completed and ready to drive car. And you can see in the pics the original POST MAXWELLHOUSE hood is also included. Also included in the sale is a poster from where Matt Kenseth did public signings with this car and also the actual solid aluminum NASCAR car mold gauge that insures all cars conform to the same measurement system (please note the main piece is pictured but also there a couple cross pieces too that measure the width). The only what I would call damage is one right front cross member brace is bent from where someone tried to jack up the car on that brace and it was not intended for that purpose so the brace bent and cracked at the weld so a temporary brace was added to insure no more damage was done. This is easily fixable by any qualified welder and fabricator and does not affect the alignment or functionality of the car but just wanted to note it to any potential buyer. As I said earlier I know absolutely nothing about NASCAR so asking me any question about this item will yield no answers so please refer any questions to Brandon @ 731-926-6900 so that you can find the answers from a knowledgeable source. PLEASE note I have tried to represent the car as best as I can with the information I was provided but if you would like anymore info on the car or have any specific questions about this car so that you will know exactly what is being offered for sale and it in no way reverberates bad feeling back on me please call Brandon @ 731-926-6900. Thanks and best of luck.
