Up for sale is this very rare and highly upgraded 72' Opel GT. Original CA car with no rust, no accidents. I am the third owner. This car is in excellent condition. This car was chosen to participate in the 2007 GM/Opel launching of the new Opel GT in Palm Springs, it won 2nd place in its class at the 2005 Opel Club car show and recently participated at the 2010 Concourso Italiano in Monterrey, CA celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the OMC. Its has been Resto-modified with a 2.4lt Fuel injected modern Opel engine (imported from Germany) coupled with a 5 speed (GETRAG) gearbox, new clutch, LSD rear end, rear disc brakes, performance big front brakes with vented rotors, high performance suspension (sport leaf spring, KYB shocks, polueurethane bushings, front&rear-sway bars), heavy duty cooling system, K&N air filter and lots of chrome in engine bay. Excellent paint and exterior including near new rubber molding, lighting and excellent chrome. Very rare ATS German period correct wheels (imported from Germany) on Continental Sport Contact tires (50% tread), Hella H-1 euro driving lights, Hella H4 headlights and period correct original Talbot bullet mirrors. Rear lights&sidelights are original "like new" with no cracks or chips, front side marker lights are clear euro style. Interior has very rare Recaro sport seats wrapped in Mercedes leather, excellent carpet and headliner. All gauges work except clock (slow), Battery relocated to rear shelf, dash in excellent comdition (two small thin cracks). Several extra parts included with sale including A/C system, extra front windshield, Nardi vintage steering wheel and miscellaneous parts. This car drives great, is very reliable, requires minimum maintenance that any good european car trained mechanic can provide. Parts and expert technical assistance available from Opelgtsource.
