For auction is a 1951 MGTD roadster. We are selling this car for a friend. We will try to describe the car as accurately as possible. Please email us with any questions. This car was running and driving approximately 15 years ago. The owner began a restoration of the car at that time. The body was removed from the frame. The frame was cleaned and painted. New suspension components were installed (see photos). New brake lines, exhaust system, brake and clutch hydraulics, springs and shocks were installed. New floors and pedals were installed (see photo). The interior of the car was left in its original condition. This was a good decision for someone who would wish to own a 1951 MGTD with original seats and door panels and dash with the 60 year old patina. More information: the canvas folding top is on the car but is worn out. The frame for the folding top is excellent with no rust or any problems. The original tan paint on the folding top frame is in very nice condition. The tires are all new (see photo). The wheels are silver painted wires. This car appears to have original paint. The engine has new gaskets on the valve cover, side cover and oil pan. We assume that the engine is in proper running condition. There is a new wiring harness installed in the car as shown in the photos. The wiring harness is not hooked up to the ignition in the dashboard so the car cannot be started in its present state. The side curtains are complete. The area where the soft top fits is in good condition (see photo). It comes with the original tools and tool wrap and the original King Dick jack (see photo).
