Relisting due to non paying winnig bidder last week. Only bid if you ready to buy and have the ability to pay. Very original autostick bug. All original except for one repaint in the same color. Was towed behind a RV and shows 87k miles might be 187k but most of the miles were while it was towed. Engine was used for another car but everything was working and it drove great. Has been sitting for about 4 months since the engine was taken out. I have another autostick engine from a 1969 that can go with for $450 more. Sorry, but the original engine is not available. This is a rare autositck bug. There is no clutch, it's just like a normal automatic car except you have to shift(no clutch) from first to second at about 35 miles an hour. There is also a low gear for going up steep inclines. To shift the car you just take your foot off the gas and pull or push the shifter. Very easy to learn. Car has never been hit. The body is really straight. The only problem with the car is the rust on the right rear side from water getting in the air scoop behind the quarter glass. I have a repair panel for it included with the car from another 73 bug. Bumper was removed for towing but is included and I can reinstall if the buyer wants. Bumper has okay chrome and both uprights. The front carpet is in really good shape, you can see how little use this car has. I took it out for a little clean up. Floors and really nice. no rust, not even under the battery! Hood, doors, and engine lid open and close perfectly, all latches and locks work. Interior is original and shows some wear on the seats, headliner has a few tears. Body is super straight, glass is all in good condition. Steering and brakes are in good condition. Clean title and registration has been paid. Free delivery to any shipper in the Oakland area.
