Vehicle Detail

I have owned this great camper for the last 6 years. I would like to keep it, but health issues force me to sell. This camper was registered only in Texas, Georgia and California - it probably never saw ice or snow. It is dependable and economical. I have had it serviced regularly. It gets about 18 mpg in town, and 25 mpg going a steady 60 mph - that's amazing for a vehicle weighing 6,000 pounds! Most things on this camper are in great shape, especially the camping related stuff. There are some minor body scrapes and asphalt stains - see photos. These can be easily remedied by the next happy owner. This camper has beautiful, easy-care vinyl upholstery. In my opinion, this is much better for camping than the usual cloth upholstery - spills wipe away easy, and it is much easier to keep clean. The awning is in excellent condition, and is really very useful. It can be enclosed with screens to keep out the bugs. Other extras installed on this camper by a previous owner are a 6 disc CD changer, and a DC to AC power converter (I must admit that I never got much use out of this, as it has a habit of blowing fuses - but maybe the next owner can figure it out). The deep cycle marine battery which powers the accessories is only one year old. The power remote for the driver's side mirror does not work, but the mirror can be adjusted manually. The two struts which support the pop-top tent need to be repaired or replaced - they have a hard time keeping the top in the fully raised position (of course, you can also use a couple of pieces of wood to brace the top). Otherwise, everything on this camper functions just fine. This is a true auction with a very low opening price and NO RESERVE. Serious bidders only please! I have been buying and selling on eBay for the past 12 years (but this is the first time I'm selling a vehicle). Check my feedback - you will see that you are dealing with a serious and honest seller. On May-16-11 at 11:36:28 PDT, seller added the following information: If you contact me with your email address, I can send you some high resolution photos. On May-18-11 at 20:24:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Wow, there's a lot of interest in my little camper, and people keep asking similar questions. Please note that I posted some questions and answers - they can be found at the end of the listing. Here are some highlights from my answers: The engine and drive train, to my knowledge, have no problems. There are no fluid leaks, and the vehicle always starts and runs fine. I replaced various hoses and belts (and both batteries) over the last 6 years. Of course, this is not a Ferrari - but it always gets me to where I want to get. The AC works well. The range, refrigerator, and water pump all functioned well the last time we went camping about 2 years ago. The camper also has a propane heater - I never went camping in cold weather, so never used it, and do not know how well it works. What is wrong with it? If I were to keep this vehicle, the first thing I would do is get new shocks. It still has the originals, and they are definitely shot. It won't cost much, but will definitely improve the ride. All liens (= loans) were paid off. I did not have the vehicle then, so I can't give you details. I have had CLEAR TITLE for the past 5 years as evidenced by the California "pink slip" in my possession, which shows no liens (if there were any, it wouldn't be in my possession). The records show that at one time in Texas the vehicle failed a smog test, then passed the second time around. I have done 3 smog tests in California (when I brought it into the state, and twice since then) - it passed on the first try each time. Why did it fail that one time in Texas? I can only guess, but sometimes vehicles fail because they are tested when the engine is still not warmed up. I always make sure the engine is nice and warm, then the fuel is burned most efficiently.
