1970 Mercedes 280SL White Automatic A/C 2nd Owner 56K Miles!! This is a outstanding specimen of the last of Mercedes HANDMADE cars. The exterior paint is bright and shiny white and mostly original although it has had some touch-ups over the years. It has no rust through anywhere and is a very solid example. This is not a restored car but a car that has always been kept up. The chrome is bright and shiny with a couple of very minor flaws. The interior is blue tex and is in exceptional condition as well as the carpets. It has the optional automatic transmission, Air Conditioning, Becker Europa radio. The tires are BF Goodrich 205/70/14 on the car with less than a thousand miles, and the spare is still the original Firestone Phoenix 185/14 and has never been on the ground. It comes complete with all the books and records as well as tool kit. Car was purchased in 1980 from the original owner Helen Schwarzkopf when it had 32,000 miles. She bought it new at Lokey Motors in Clearwater, FL. Its been driven in nice weather from home to law office and kept garaged at both locations. After being in storage for the last 10 years it has recently been super-tuned and runs out strong and smooth. Shifts up and down with no clunks. Everything operates as intended including clock, gauges, A/C blows cold, tight and rattle-free. Service included all new rubber suspension parts, shocks, brake calipers, master cylinder, and tires etc. Nothing is missing from the car and nothing has been mickey moused with ever.
