Hello there! You're looking at a terrific 2005 R1200GS ABS. This is one awesome bike! I don't think I need to tell you that this is the greatest, biggest, most advanced dual-purpose-touring bike ever conceived. I am the second owner and purchased this bike in 2006 with 4800 miles on it. This bike was purchased by the original owner as well as myself at Country Rode Motowerks in Fairport, NY, where it was also religiously maintained by certified BMW mechanics. With only 10,800 miles this bike is fully broken in with PLENTY of life left in it. The bike is in excellent condition. There are no mechanical issues of any kind and every system, including the ABS, fuction flawlessly. It runs strong, heated grips work, the Metzeler Tourance tires are a season old and have thousands of miles of tread left on them. The battery is also a season old. I have a BMW low seat on this right now, but it will also come with the original seat which is probably 1.5 inches higher than he low seat. I've never had any sort of issue with this bike, and it starts every spring on the first crank. I've never taken the bike through any mud, dumped it, or popped any wheelies. I'm very perticular about my things, and not an agressive rider. However, the two screws holding the windshield (not the adjustmend knobs that loosen and tighten to move the windshield up or down) to the frame vibrated out. I rigged it up with a couple of zip-ties and never got around to replacing them, it works but I'm sure these screws are available through any BMW dealership. I have misplaced the owner's manual and am looking for it, but it doesn't tell you too much. It comes with the BMW hard saddle cases (for the sides, but not he top one), a trickle charger, and a cover. The tiltle is clear with no liens. The bike is not registered or insured currently; there can be no test rides, I'm sorry about this but a close friend had a bike stolen! But if you are local, you are welcome and encouraged to stop out, take a look and fire her up. Upon auction close, I will require a $1000 deposit within three days and full payment within one week. I will surrender the bike and title only after I have recieved your payment. Buyer will arange for the pick-up or shippng of the bike.
