www.brightonmotorsports.com 1969 Corvette Convertible Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this nice, numbers-matching 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible. If you are looking for a gorgeous driver-level Corvette, this is an outstanding example that will be at home at local car events and for regular pleasure driving. This is the famous “Coke-bottle” body-style Stingray that was first introduced in 1968. It was inspired by the bold “Mako-Shark II” concept car designed by Corvette stylist Larry Shinoda. This is an early example of the most desirable “chrome bumper” C-3 (3rd-generation) cars. Also, they are the last of the high-horsepower C-3’s that were not restricted by emissions equipment. This Corvette is equipped with its original 350-horsepower, 350-cubic-inch V8 (L46 engine), with its original 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs strong and smooth, and the car starts, drives, shifts and brakes very nicely. The car is freshly-serviced and inspected, and we also just replaced (all new parts) the brake master cylinder, coolant catch-tank and fan shroud. The tires are brand-new, and they are fitted to very sharp, genuine Rally wheels with brand-new stainless-steel beauty rings. The dark Green paint (code 983) is the original factory color of this car, and depending on whom you ask, it’s called either Fathom Green or British Green. The paint is in good condition. It was re-sprayed a few years back, and it shows well but it’s not show-perfect, so we color-sanded and buffed the paint which brought back a very nice shine. Overall the body is in good condition, all of the gaps fit well, the headlight doors open and close in sequence and on cue. The color combination with the saddle interior and bright white vinyl top is very striking and elegant. The factory Saddle leather (code 421) interior is in good condition, with no rips or tears in any of the upholstery or trim. All of the instruments work, and all of the interior courtesy lights, and all of the dash and instrument lighting work well. The interior appears to be original, but may have been refreshed over the years. The car is also equipped with factory tilt & telescope steering wheel. The white vinyl convertible top is new and it’s in very good condition. The chassis, suspension, shocks and brakes are all in good condition with no repairs needed. The exhaust and mufflers are at their mid-point. There is some surface rust on the chassis, but no serious or frame rust of any concern. The dry Arizona climate is this cars home today, and previously it was in the Midwest, where it was always garage-kept and well maintained by its previous owner. The car is on a clean Arizona title with the mileage (120,450) marked as “Box A” (actual) on the title – very low miles for its 42-year history, driven on average just under 3,000-miles/year! The car is now road-ready and waiting to be enjoyed and driven.
