well its time to sell my van. i bought this van about 5 years ago and put in a used 1.6L diesel engine with turbo. enigine runs good, has about 95,000 miles on it, and gets about 25mpg. ive made some changes fixing her up so here we go. the good: 120W solar panel, basically enough to run the fridge for a few hours a day, unlimited stereo use, and charging of laptop or phone. frybrid waste vegetable oil system awesome pionleer stereo system new poptop canvas and insulated window covers the bad: coolant system has some issues. shes been overheating lately. engine is still okay, but the problem could be any of the following: needs a new water pump, changing coolant lines from engine to radiator, radiator cooling fan not working, possible instalation of additional electric water pump. (i was wanting to do all four of these things but the hoa won't let me work on it. i have a new water pump and i think the rest of the stuff will cost around 250 to 500 dollars.) top speed is about 53 mph, only 4 speed transmission, i don't know about regearing or replacing for a 5 speed. the propane stove was removed. bad rust on the tank so i tore it all out. i am includind an msr stove and pots that work great in the stovetop area. other notes: the frybrid tank is installed next to the rear seat (traditionally where the water tank for the sink is) so i put a 7 gallon water tank under the car which is hooked up to the sink and fill spout on side of car. the apoulstry and carpet is in descent shape. a few burns and rips, but nothing that really bothered me to bad. the fridge power only works on the 110v setting. i have been using an adapter because i can't figure out the wiring on the 12v setting. to make for more storage room the rear seat and engine cover piece have been raised up about 2 inches. still level with the seat down in sleeping postion and really adds alot more storage room inside. any questions please email me to phunkyeah@hotmail.com i have a internet phone through skype so i can make calls but not really recieve them.
