1990 FORD MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE One Family Owned (1990-2011) VIN # 1FACP45E4LF128155 25th Anniversary Ford Mustang GT 5.0, 5-speed convertible. Purchased new on June 1,1990 at O'Meara Ford in Denver, Colorado. Responsible adult owned, garaged & pampered, non-smoker, no pets GT that has been utilized exclusively for summer nights & weekend getaways. With only 66,438 miles, this GT has been driven an average of only 3K miles per year. A remarkable example in exceptional condition throughout, it presents in 90% original condition. Original documentation to corroborate the vehicles ownership history includes: original sales invoice, service records, Ford ownership warranty & extended service cards, supplemental equipment operation pamphlets & owners manual(s). Original Ford aluminum keys & numbered key tags. My Mustang has been meticulously owned, carefully driven & exclusively Ford dealer maintained. Select components have been replaced when deemed necessary or required for the proper operation & benefit of the car given to age and/or wear. All documented. Carfax certifed no accident history. It's not that the Mustang is clean, it simply has never been dirty. The engine compartment is pristine. The Mustang still wears its beautiful & very shiny Ford paint. Ford paint code EL "Wild Strawberry" and Ford YJ "medium smoke", on the lower cladding. The interior is complete and in mint condition. The dash is perfect...NO CRACKS or warping. All badging including the Mustang 25th Year dash plaque are present. Factory Ford am/fm/cass stereo. All safety features are fully functional, everything is operable. At a cost of almost $1000.00, the entire AC system has just been retrofitted to R134. (compressor, condensor, lines, fittings, refrigerant, labor, etc. It is ice cold. The original 5.0 c.i. V8 engine is in factory stock configuration with NO modifications ever. Handling & braking refinements have been professionally done by Mustangs Unlimited of Englewood, CO. They are renown Mustang experts throughout the Rocky Mtn. & western states region. The enhancements performed were done so at a cost exceeding $7400.00, utilizing all new components, they are as follows: (see invoice/receipt photo) M-2300-K Cobra Disc Brake Conversion, these components significantly improve the braking capabilities. These were OEM factory Ford equipement on the 1993 Mustang Cobra "R" as well as the 1994-95 Mustang Cobras. M-5478-B Subframe connectors, Steeda camber plates M-1007-R58 Genuine Ford Cobra R Wheels, NOT replicas. M-1007-M179 Genuine Ford Cobra R Wheels, NOT replicas. These front & rear wheels were specifically designed by Ford for Fox bodied cars w/the M-2300-K brake upgrade. They are no longer available from Ford & are VERY RARE. The GT comes with the appropriate 17" Cobra spare which is required to accomodate the larger Cobra brakes. It has never been on the ground. M-12124-G606 Sport KONI struts (adjustable) M-18125-G603 Sport KONI Shocks M-20201-A51 Strut tower brace Hurst close ratio shifter, (factory shifter included) 3:73 gears provide for 2100 rpm @ 70 mph, the singularly best upgrade one can do. (23-25 mpg) Steeda upper & lower rear control arms 4 new Sumitomo peformance tires: 245/45 ZR-17 Front, 275/40 ZR-17 Rear ($820.00 mounted & balanced) With the aforementioned suspension upgrade along with the wheel & tire package, the Mustang has an excellent stance. I own a 2000 Roush Stage 2 Mustang convertible, the '90 GT handes & stops as well as the Roush. Full power luxury features: windows, mirrors, locks, p. trunk, power lumbar seats, cruise control. Brand new pinpoint vinyl convertible (power) top, glass rear window, new motor, lines & fluid. ($1000.00 installed) Full convertible white boot w/storage bag New supple leather upholstery, ($800.00 installed) In 1990, leather was only offered (option) on the Mustang GT convertible. (the original leather covers will be included) They were replaced given to slight age cracking) Being that it is white, it is cool and comfortable in the summer. Original jack, tire tool & locking lug nuts for the "R" wheels. In preparation of offering one of my cars for sale, I always have the vehicle thoroughly gone over from "bumper to bumper". The Mustang was just fully inspected & serviced for summer. This consisted of fuel, coolant and brake system flushes, new belts, hoses, filters, plugs, wires & fluids. New battery All gaskets & weather stripping are soft & pliable. There are no annoying drips or leaks. There is guaranteed to be...NO RUST! The Mustang GT looks, runs & drives great! It is ready to be driven & shown with pride of ownership. It is an affordable Mustang and being a 25th Year Anniversary convertible, one whose future classic status is assured. The car needs nothing other than a new owner to continue to provide the high level of care it has always received. If there is a nicer, low mileage unrestored original 1990 GT convertible, buy it. It is located from the half way point back with no modification or tampering of the catalytic converter. It is not a pretentious "look at me" pronouncement. It is subtle low rumble and sounds great!On May-08-11 at 15:53:23 PDT, seller added the following information: The combined total cost (w/receipts) for all of the aforementioned upgrades as well as the new leather upholstery, new top and new AC, exceeded $9,000.00. FYI: I have lowered the reserve to only $7500.00. Surely there is an astute buyer that sees the value therein. One would be paying less than the cost of these upgrades while essentially getting the Mustang for "free". There have been some other 1990 Mustangs recently offered on eBay, marginal at best, not at all comparable.
