This is a Blue 1996 Chevrolet Lumina that has 232,262 miles on the odometer, the 3100 V-6 has about 69,000 miles on it. The original motor broke a camshaft and was replaced 3 summers ago. The car at that time had just over 189,000 miles. Right now the transmission is slipping really bad, but the engine is still strong and it does not use or burn oil. I put a NEW alternator and serpentine belt on it this past January (2011) and a new battery about 18 months ago. The last three pictures show the tachometer at different RPM's. It has really clean BLUE cloth seats with NO TEARS. The cloth on the seats is a blue and gray mix and don't show dirt anyway. This has been the car that I drive to work for the past 6 years and the back seats have hardly been sit on. The carpet is dirty in the front with stains mainly from a large drink from McDonalds that dumped all over the floor when a car pulled out in front of me and I had to slam on the brakes. It has NEVER been wrecked, but there is a crease in the drivers door where my brother side swiped it in my parents driveway, only three weeks after we purchased it new. I have been the only owner and the title is free and clear. The air bags have never deployed, all of the lights, front and back, work as well as the turn signals. The car is running with the lights on when I took the photos in this listing. There is still a spare in the trunk, I don't remember ever using it. It has four TEMPEST TOURING HR all season radials from BIG O TIRES with about 10,000 miles on them, filled with nitrogen. I am willing to sell this for $510 since that is what I will get out of it by selling the tires and wheels, taking off the catalytic converter and selling it, and the taking the rest of the car to a local salvage yard (pull-a-part). I know that if I had the time and the space to keep it, I could part out this car and make twice the selling price. Whoever buys it will not lose money on it. All of the body panels (except for the drivers door are in re-usable condition without dents and dings. The windshield was replaced last fall by SafeLite auto glass. The car DOES NOT have a stereo in it. I had the A/C recharged last spring and it would get really cold. Anyone interested in this can come and look at it and listen to it run. It is drivable, but the transmission slips once it gets up to about 20 MPH. One other plus, the day that the transmission went bad, I had just filled it up with gas ($50 dollars worth) and It's been driven less than 10 miles since then. It was a good running car and I was getting 24 miles to the gallon. I'm not a mechanic, the transmission could be shot or it could be fixable, I do not know. The answer to both questions is no, but when I start out in 1st gear, it does not slip. I can then shift on through 2nd, drive and overdrive and it won't slip until I get into overdrive but never shifts out of 1st. Also, the transmission never slipped until I had to add about a pint of transmission fluid and it was on the day that I added transmission fluid that the transmission went out on me. I don't know if this helps out or not, just additional information.
