I am stationed at Tinker AFB and am due to deploy soon and I do not want the car sitting, otherwise I would not be selling this... So here we go! Up for sale is a RARE Peugeot 1986 505s Turbo Diesel in VERY GOOD running condition. Try to find a non-working one in the junk yard, let alone one in this good of condition. This car is my daily driver to spare the miles on my Jetta. I'll try to list as much about the car as I am able and I encourage SERIOUS buyers to inquire/come test drive it! -4 door cream colored 2.5l 4-cyl Turbo Diesel. Rear wheel drive. -138588 miles (Will be higher as I still drive it daily) -Clean (Not salvage) Oklahoma "Classic" Title -Brown leather interior -4 Speed automatic -NO RUST! (Rare for this year/car) -All lights (Ext/Int) working -All dash gauges working -New tires, brakes (Front rotors/pads and rear pads), battery, master cylinder and all 4 glow plugs -All original fuse box/computers working -New REMY starter motor -All vacuum functions working -New radio -Original climate control working -Original Power Antenna works great! -All known maintenance records. I know what your thinking, with all those new parts it must have been in terrible condition before... Wrong! The previous owner in Ponca City, OK had it passed down to him from his father who purchased it new in 1986 in Arkansas. His Father kept the vehicle in pristine condition and kept a log of everything he had done to it. (proven by the original notebook written by his Father given to me by him when I bought it) At some point, his Father bought a new car and stored the Peugeot in his barn with the intention of selling it. The car sat in storage for 9 years before being handed down to his Son who thought it would be an ideal car to fix up so HIS Son would have something to drive back and forth to work. Anyway, this is my second 505 I've owned which being a previous owner of one, drew me to buy this when I moved to Oklahoma. The gentleman I purchased this car from installed most of the new parts listed above immediately after taking it out of storage to make it reliable and safe for his Son to drive. Surprisingly, the water pump is original and still works great even after storage. The only parts I have installed are the new brake pads and front rotors, tires, glow plugs, and starter. The only ESSENTIAL part I replaced due to failure was the starter (which was original) and the rest for my piece of mind for the winter. In addition to the car, I am including all of the accoutrements I have from this car and my last. But first, let me tell you what I know to be wrong with the car. After all, I want you to know exactly what you're getting and not deceive. -The original switch for the brights is non-functional and has been replaced with a toggle switch on the steering column. -The steering rack boots need to be replaced (Included with the car, but one is cut) -My mechanic said it would be a good idea to replace the inner tie rod ends. Inner/Outer tie rod assembly is available at rockauto.com for $73.79. As an alignment needs to be done after replacing the tie rods and boots, I was waiting to do all of it together but the vehicle drives straight and fine with the power steering perfect without it. I purchased the car like this. -Waste-gate on the turbo is stuck open so vacuum line to turbo is currently removed. I'm told an easy fix but better to just rebuild it if you're going to take it off. Mechanic (Info provided below) knows local OKC business who specialize in this. -Electric Rear windows not working (I think they are just disconnected) -A/C is R12. The system does get cold when charged with R12 but would not take a full charge due to a bad expansion valve. Good news, it's included! I recommend that you convert the system. -Cruise control not functioning. Included with the car: -Transmission filter -NEW expansion valve -Original radio/cassette player (New CD Player Installed) -NEW battery charger -Fuel filter -Original users manual in original leather case -Original keys with classic "Peugeot" key fob -Original hoses and replacement molding -RARE ORIGINAL 505 workshop manual -RARE ORIGINAL vintage adds and dealer brochure The mechanic who did all the work for me is "Auto Care Specialists" in Moore, OK. They are family owned/operated. James is a very gifted mechanic who is a no b/s, straightforward man. I take my other vehicle there and he tells me I've referred more customers to him than even his oldest clients. Finding parts is harder than normal but much easier than you would expect. Rockauto.com has just about everything you will ever need and ebay has the rest. However, my mechanic's wife is able to find most everything without TOO much hassle without resorting to the internet. I know this is alot to read and I'm sure I've forgotten some things, but thanks for looking and ask questions! **UPDATE: May 3, 2011** I have had requests to include more interior pictures. Sorry, these were before the vacuum got to it! What is not pictured due to picture limit is the rear of the rear seat headrests which have a tear in the seam but it's purely cosmetic and an easy fix I'm sure.
