Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a very nice 1990 Jaguar XJS. I have owned this vehicle since March of 2003. Since I have owned it, it has been garage kept and under a cover which will be included in the sale. The milage when I bought the car in March 2003 was 74,138 miles. As you can see it has been driven just over 20,000 miles in 8 years. It has seen rain maybe 10 times in those 8 years. There is no rust on the car including the underside and floorpans. I purchased the car from an owner in Dallas Texas. The trunk and interior seals are all great and can be ran through an automatic carwash with no water entering the car. I have most of the service records since I purchased the car and they will also be included in the sale. All service has been done by our certified Jaguar mechanic here in Carmel Indiana. The company name is Just Jags in Carmel, Indiana and the owner is Larry if you would like to talk to him. The exterior of the car is unlike any I have seen. The paint is just as brilliant as the day I purchased it with the clear coat looking like new. There are 2 noticable dings, one on the trunk lid and one on the driverside top fender. These dings are easily repairable and look similar to a hail ding, but they are self inflicted by me moving things around in my garage. The chrome is spectacular with no pitting. The motor has had a few things done to it over the years, the most major being a couple new injectors and a new starter. The engine photos should indicate how I care for my vehicles. The trunk is clean and includes the tool kit that came with it when I purchased the car and a spare tire cover that is factory. The tires on the car have approximately 5,000 mile on them to the best of my knowledge. There is currently 3 perreli 600's and one odd tire. The 4th perreli is in the trunk as a spare due to a slice in the sidewall. The spare is also the "honeycomb" rim like those on the car. The interior is showing signs of wear as can be seen in the photos. The rear seats are great, the passenger seat is great and less than normal wear on the drivers side, however it does have wear. I tried to show it in the photos. The flooring and carpet are "ok" but need to be replaced. There are no areas worn through, just looking tired. The dash has no splits or weathering. The wood grain in the dash looks good, however there are the typical splits and cracks, but nothing major. The console wood grain has started cracking and slight curling. There is a kit that can be purchased on Ebay that will make the wood grain look much better. It is my recomendation that the entire kit be purchased so all components match. The car has heated seats in the front, however the drivers side has quit working. Since the car never sees snow and only driven on days with clear weather, this was not a big deal to me, but parts are available to repair it. The car has "climate control" heating and air conditioning that work great. The air conditioning has typically needed charged about every 3 or 4 years and to my knowledge, we are in year 2 or 3. When I drove it to take the photos, the air worked fine. The owners manual is also included which has the codes for the radio and "how to" operation help. The engine has had synthetic oil used for the last 5 years. It does use a little oil, but not excessively. If you excellerate with your foot to the floor, you will blow some smoke, but not excessively. As with most Jags, there are oil spots on the garage floor, but nothing major. The headliner and siderails on the interior have a few minor imperfections, however do not sag at all. It would look better with a new headliner just because it has faded over the years. I have tried to be as honest and descriptive as I ca about the car, however if there are additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me via cell phone 317-413-0610 during normal hours "8am to 10pm" and I will be happy to give any information I have about the car. I hate selling it but I have purchase a new Town & Country Van for my wife and just bought myself a new HAley Davidson Ultra and I only have a 2 car garage. No she won't park her van outside!!!???? SO the Jag needs to find a good home. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK! P.S> The reseve is way below what you might think. NOTE: I just reviewed my listing and it is showing a problem with the mileage. I can prove the mileage listed is correct with service records. Additionally, please look at the history and it also confirms the starting milelage when I purchased the car and the odometer problem appears to be the fault of the BMV in Texas. I will be trying to get this cleared so it shows an accurate rating. Sorry.
