I am pleased to offer my Subaru SVX for bidding. I have spent an extensive amount of time and care in restoring, maintaining, and improving this vehicle. However, I have relocated and no longer have the space to keep this car indoors. This SVX truly needs to be seen in order to appreciate it, and I encourage buyers to ask questions about the car. Included with the vehicle is a large binder containing a complete service history of the car since it was originally purchased new. Every receipt and document detailing the vehicle’s ownership and care will indicate the expense and effort that was spent for this vehicle throughout its life. Brief synopsis, if you are not familiar with this model: The Subaru SVX was released in late 1991 for the United States market after its debut in Japan. Being the brainchild of both enthusiastic young minds on the Subaru design team, and famed designer Giorgetto Giugario, the SVX was engineered ahead of its time. Subaru pushed the envelope and challenged famed luxury manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz with a grand touring coupe that was packed with astounding features and dynamic styling. The exterior of this SVX is in great condition, as the Claret metallic paint still looks fresh! The fenders, doors, bumpers, hood, roof, trunk and quarters are all superb condition. This Subaru is equipped with genuine Subaru JDM corner lamps, which give the car a bit more of a modern look. There is a ding in the driver’s side door the size of a pencil eraser, but no paint is missing. This was caused by a falling handle of a brush when washing the car. There is a small ding below the taillight and one more on the right fender. This car has seen very little usage in recent years, and mostly in clear, dry weather. The car is kept covered regularly so that it does not lose its luster. There will be a custom-fit Wolf car cover included so that you may continue to protect this SVX from the sun and dust for years to come. The 18” Prodrive PFF7 Wheels compliment the Bronze-tinted glass perfectly and are wrapped in newer Toyo Proxes4 tires. The interior to this SVX is nothing short of stunning! The tan leather seats look and feel as if the car were much newer! There is a very minute amount of bolster wear showing, and 1 or 2 small scratches on the steering wheel. However, these small areas do not take away from the rich woodgrain-patterned dash, alcantara accents, and of course, the comfortable and supportive seats. The entire interior was carefully transplanted from a near pristine salvaged donor, piece by piece, including the dashboard, carpets, and headliner. This Subaru SVX boasts a superb combination of a fresh rebuild and a manual transmission conversion, making it a solid, superior choice versus a stock unit and an aging original driveline. The engine is supported with STi Group N mounts, which are more durable than the stock SVX mounts, increasing longevity and reliability and reducing power loss through drivetrain movement. The transmission, originally in a 99 Legacy Outback, is in great condition and the shifts are firm, short, and smooth thanks to the new bushings and WRX shift linkage. The Spec Stage 2 Kevlar clutch works well along with the brand new throwout and pilot bearings. The transmission is supported by a professionally-designed, MIG-welded, powder-coated cross member which utilizes stock mounting points (better rigidity than many 5-speed swaps) and a stock Subaru transmission mount.
