The previous and onlyowner, took great care of this vehicle both cosmetically and mechanically. This Cherokee will come with a VA state inspection, to assure that it is in great condition. This 1 OWNER Jeep looks and drives great, you would never know it has 94k miles nor a 1997. Like with all of our vehicles here at Bavarian, this Jeep comes with a perfectly clean carfax which is posted below. These Cherokee Sports are getting VERY hard to come across specially in this type of condition. We sell a a lot of these, and this may be on the nicest and cleanest ones we have had it. I have 2 year old vehicles on my lot that cant compare in condition to this Jeep. The original owner took great pride in the upkeep of this Jeep. As if these arent hard enough to come across, this Jeep has the very rare and high demand manual 5 speed transmission. To make it even better, must Cherokees that come with the 5 speed tranny are the base model or SE but not this one. This Jeep has EVERY option the sport has to offer for the year: power windows, power doorlocks, power mirrors, cruise control on the steering wheel, 4wd, Infiniti Sound system with tweeters and amp, roof rack, rear sound bar and much much more....This jeep is also equipped with an alarm system which does include 2 remotes that function perfectly. This Jeep also just had a major service including a tune up, new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, oil changer, filters and more. This Jeep is ready to go and needs NOTHING !!!! This book has ALL keys, remotes, books and manuals. Exterior ConditionThe exterior of this vehicle is in great condition for the year and has been well cared for. The paint looks amazing and has a great shine and smooth finish. Its rare to see a 97 model car with such a deep color and shine. The wheels are in great condition as are the tires. I tried to include as many pictures as possible so you can see the true condition of the car. You will be very very impressed with with the condition of exterior. Please keep in mind this is a pre-owend vehicle so it will show some wear. Please review the photos as a true visual description for the vehicle. Also the underneath is completely rust free, make to check on that while shopping around for these. Interior ConditionThe interior of this Jeep is in great condition for the year and mileage. The carpets look great and show no stains. . The seats looks great, they actually look only a few years old if that. Much of the interior shows really well for the age. Im a non smoker myself and there are absolutely zero odor or smell of smoke in the vehicle, the rear seat has the smallest burn hole but zero anywhere else. Im sure if the owner was a smoker that would be more and evidence up front. The photos below will show EVERY part of the interior so you can see for yourself how clean it is. The interior is a 9.5 out of 10. This Jeep is in good condition in every way, the motor runs great and is very strong and starts up fine with no issues. All driving components work just as they should, the clutch is nice and tight and shifts very smooth, the brakes work great as they were just serviced. The complete drive-train has no issues. As great condition as this car is, IT IS a pre owned car therefore you will find some minor wear from it being driven, both interior and exterior. Consult the official inspection manual for exceptions.) 4. - INSPECT PARKING BRAKE FOR: * Broken or missing parts. * Proper adjustment. * Standard factory equipment or equivalent. 5. - INSPECT HEADLIGHTS FOR: * Approved type, aim, and output. * Condition of lamp, wiring and switch. * Beam indicator. Count load in measuring.) 7. – INSPECT SIGNAL DEVICE FOR: * Approved type, proper bulbs, condition of lenses, wiring and switch. * Correct indications and tell-tale (visual or audible). * Illumination of all lamps, lens color, and condition of lens. 8. – INSPECT STEERING & SUSPENSION FOR: (Jack up front end as shown in Manual) * Wear in bushings, kingpins, ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rod ends. * Looseness of gear box on frame, condition of drag link and steering arm. * Play in steering wheel. * Wheel alignment and axle alignment. * Broken spring leaves, and worn shackles. * Shock absorbers. * Broken frame. * Broken or missing engine mounts. * Lift blocks. 9. – INSPECT TIRES, WHEELS & RIMS FOR: * Condition of tires including tread depth. * Mixing radials and bias ply tires. * Wheels that are cracked or damaged so as to affect safe operation. 10. – INSPECT MIRROR FOR: * Rigidity of mounting. * Condition of reflecting surface. * View of road to rear (Truck mirrors must extend at least halfway beyond edge of body) – (Visibility 200 feet to rear). ALL UNAUTHORIZED STICKERS MUST BE REMOVED. * Sunshading material attached to the windshield to ensure it does not extend more than 3 inches downward from the top of windshield, unless authorized by Medical Waiver Certificate. * Operation of left front door glass. 13. – INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER/DEFROSTER FOR: * Operating condition. * Condition of blade. 14. – INSPECT EXHAUST SYSTEM FOR: * Exhaust line-manifold, gaskets, pipes, mufflers, connections, etc. * Leakage of gases at any point from motor to point discharged from system. 15. – INSPECT LICENSE TAGS FOR: * Illumination of rear plate. 16. – INSPECT HOOD AND AREA UNDER THE HOOD FOR: * Operating condition of hood latch. * Presence of emissions system -Evidence that any essential parts have been removed, rendered inoperative or disconnected. * Fluid levels that are below the proper level 1. Brake fluid. 2. Power steering fluid. * Power steering belt - proper tension, wear, or absence.
