1966 CHEVY BEL AIR SHERIFF’S CAR Here is a wonderful find. This 1966 Chevy Bel air was purchase new here in San Antonio Texas. It is a very solid Texas Car. The car has factory Air Conditioning, Power Steering and an original 283 V8 engine. The car is very clean inside and out with just 107k original miles. I bought the car from the original owner and I believe the mileage to be correct. The body is very straight with no real dents anywhere. Perhaps a few door dings. The only signs of any rust is a few small bubbles low in front of the drivers door. The floors, trunk pan and rear quarters are original and very solid. The car sports a period correct Federal Twinsonic Lightbar with rare clear domes with red and clear bulbs. (It is not currently wired up, but I will include the original NOS switch.) I will add blue glass bulbs free if requested. There are also vintage style SHERIFF star graphics and markings as well. I don’t believe the car was in service as a sheriff’s car originally but it sure looks great this way. The engine starts and sounds great with starting fluid but the car has been sitting for several years and has old fuel in it. It will likely need a carburetor rebuild, tires, tune-up etc. It will not take much to be on the road. Even the original owners manuals are in the glove box. I can have the carburetor rebuilt for $125 for you. We can workout something to get the car able to drive up on a trailer. Inside the original headliner and door panels are very nice. The dash is very nice too with just one small crack found. The seats look good the front has a crack in the center vinyl.
