1997 GMC Suburban K1500 4WD Turbo Diesel I am selling my ½ Ton Diesel Suburban. This is not a ¾ ton but a rare ½ ton Suburban that was special-ordered from the factory with a 6.5 Turbo Diesel and 3.42 Rear End. It drives like a car and gets 22mpg on the highway due to the gearing in the rear end. It currently has 221K miles on it. The exterior is white and the paint is in great condition with the only exception being an approximately 2”x2” area on the roof near the back where the paint has chipped off. It has barn doors. The interior is gray with cloth seats, which are also in great condition, especially for a truck of this age. Front bucket seats with two rear split bench seats. As you can see in the picture, the left side of the driver’s seat is a little worn but, other than that, the cloth looks great. The truck will seat up to 8 passengers. Everything works great and has been maintained based on manufacturer recommendations. I purchased the vehicle from the 2nd owner in November 2009, who was also a diesel buff. He had recently had all new Viton-lined fuel hoses, a fresh injection pump with all Viton seals and a HD lift pump, and a new master cylinder installed.
