1979 GMC C20 3/4 Ton Suburban Sierra Classic 454 Big-Block w/ Turbo 400 Transmission 9 Passenger 3 row Seating Front and Rear Air Conditioning New BF Goodrich T/A Radials You are looking at a classic Suburban in overall great condition. The best part is that it's been in Southern California for most of its life so it is solid and completely rust free! I am the second and fourth owner. I purchased it in 1995 from the original owner and drove it for 5 years as my primary family vehicle. Sold it to some close friends in 2000 and they used it for another 5 years as their family vehicle. They purchased a newer one in 2005 and parked it in their yard for 5 years so I decided I wanted it back. I rebulit the engine in 1997. adding a mild RV cam, Edlebrock chrome valve covers and chrome K&N Air Cleaner. Engine has appoximately 70,000 miles on it today. Still runs vey strong and sounds great, and only leaks a little from the rear main seal which is pretty common on these big-blocks. Hate to sell this truck, but the ONLY reason I'm selling is to pay the balance on my son's college tuition for the year. Truck has the original brown/tan paint except for the roof and tan part on the hood that was added before I purchased it. The front fenders also have been painted. The original paint is still very glossy but is thinning in some areas, especailly the top of the door frames and top of the tailgate. Glass is all in great condition, and the chrome is excellent, especially the rear bumper that almost looks new! The interior is clean, but front seat is ripped so I've put on a seat cover. The third row seat (not pictured) goes with it, but is grey cloth. Could use new carpet to make it a great daily driver. Equipped with both front and rear air conditioning that blows cold. Great sounding Pioneer CD deck with 4 speakers. All lights work. Guages: Speedometer needs a cable, the gas guage is intermittent. Temp and voltmeter guages work, oil pressure sometimes. Brand new BF Goodrich T/A radials with less than 800 miles mounted on Prime alloy wheels. I get looks and compliments on this truck without exception everytime I drive it!
