Vehicle Detail

This is an original 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan. It has not been restored in any sense of the word. I don't think it has "ever been touched". I am told that I am the third owner of this car, but I have never run it nor have I driven it. It is an indented firewall car. This is a description of the car as I view it: --Title- I have a valid and clear Minnesota title to it. --Motor compartment - complete with all normal, original parts such as generator, starter, distributor, coil, water pump, carburetor etc. The motor does not turn over. --Radiator - is an original (not a repo) radiator. It has some "knicks" out of it, but it is not so bad that it is unusable. I'm guessing that it would actually work. --Chassis - complete --Shocks - surprisingly, all the shocks are present. This is very unusual in a Model A where normally they were removed (why?) and junked. --Fenders - all are solid and don't have any rust holes. Three of them have a broken bead and are welded. --Outside Body - Solid. No rust outs that I could see (and I looked). Even the body under the rear fenders appears to not have any rust outs (unusual as they normally do) --Cowl sides - no rust outs --Doors - Solid, no rust out on bottoms, one door has minor rust out only on the bottom outside edge. --Hood - hood on car shown in pictures is broken at the top hinge, so I am including a nice original hood (see picture) and I will remove and keep the one on the car. --Windshield frame - one on car is not useable, so I am including separately, a nice frame (see picture) --Visor - looks OK but has a lot of bondo on it, so it may or may not be useable. --Roof side panels - one has some rust thru on it. The other is rust pits. One and possibly both, may be useable because they are buried under the top vinyl.. --Inside body - no seats, no bottom body panels. Some rust out. --Dash rail - fine. Speedometer shows 61500 miles. --Gas tank - looks fine - haven't tried any gas or water in it, however. --Horn - Model A A'oogah horn, no back cover. --Windshield wiper - electric aftermarket type with no cover. --Lights - nice shells with no dents. Have seal beams in them which can removed and replaced with standard Model A light parts. --Radiator cover - nice, one dent. It is a 1930 cover which obviously fits this 1931 model. --Glass - is all there and clear, but I won't drive a car without new safety glass in it. --Inside window moldings - all there for side and back windows. --Running boards - not useable --Running board splash aprons, one is probably useable, and one probably not. --Tires - lots of tread, hold air well, with some cracks. So,this is a quite complete description of this car as I see it. It doesn't appear to ever have been touched and is a basis for a restoration. --
