Vehicle Detail
1937 Packard 120C Convertible Sedan for sale. Fully loaded with all the goodies. Unrestored car recently acquired from the long time owner of over 50 years. This is my current daily driver for LCC on weekends. This car was sold new at Joy' Brothers Dealer in St Paul, Minnesota on June 15th, 1937 and never left St Paul. I purchased this car from the long time owners daughter in St Paul who always remembered her dad having this car. I did a quick service on the car and have been using it to run errands around town. I like to put at least 100 miles on a car before I sell it. The body is in good shape and there is evidence of some rust that was repaired as needed here and there. Some paint appears to be original while most looks like spray can type paint. The top is somewhat recent and the top and frame look and latch well. The sidemount rim on the passenger side is different than the rest, hence no hubcap. It appears all the lights are working, including spot. All gauges work, but the fuel gauge seem to be finicky. The straight eight engine (# X71228, books say 1936) runs well and could benefit from valve adjustments as they are a little loose and ticky. The suspension is tired and bouncy, but it gives it the character that I enjoy about original cars. The battery was moved under the hood at some point. Interior appears original. I do have the inner fenders, although not installed when photos were taken. I have been advised by fellow Packard enthusiasts that this is a 120C and not a 120CD Call or email for questions. Certainly a rare opportunity. Car is sold with Minnesota Title. Laferriere Classic Cars always offers unique, rare and interesting automobiles. Click the logo to view all cars available.
