1931 Ford Model A Delivery Bestcarsofdfw is proud to present this amazing nut & bolt, frame-off restored, steel 1931 Ford Model A Sedan Delivery. There were 4,839,340 Model As produced. 1931 Would be the last year of the A model. These were hard times, in contrast to 1,261,053 A's produced in in 1930, only 626,579 were produced in '31, less than half. I do not have the production numbers of Sedan Delivery's, but they are few and even fewer today. It is hard to find reproduction Sedan Delivery's around and even LESS actual ALL STEEL examples. It is very difficult to impossible to find an all steel example restored to the exquisite originality of this particular Sedan Delivery. This is your opportunity to own this beautifully restored 1931 Ford Model A Sedan Delivery Wagon. This Model A was restored to original over a long period of time, the owner sourcing difficult parts as they became available. This amazing find was recently acquired from a Texas estate from the gentleman's widow and this is the first time it has been brought to the public for sale. We hope you enjoy our presentation. Please allow ample time for our high resolution photos and special video to load. Take advantage of your opportunity to own a piece of Ford's illustrious history. ENJOY OUR SPECIAL VIDEO TOUR OF THIS SEDAN DELIVERY BELOW / SIMPLY PRESS THE PLAY ARROW, BE SURE TO TURN YOUR SPEAKERS UP. VIDEO / PRESS PLAY ABOVE Produced in nearly every conceivable designation, the Model A enjoyed a great reputation with many improvements of the Henry Ford's T-Models. The brakes were 4-wheel mechanical. The driver now had easier to use controls, including a conventional clutch. The engine now produced 40 to 50 horsepower. Of course, the design is much more attractive. The exterior of our Sedan Delivery displays straight mirrored black paint work throughout. This example utilizes two side doors and a swing-out rear door, complete with a leather strap. The wood is beautifully detailed, showing as new. Also the note the improved fasteners used throughout the interior paneling. The 1930-31 Model A's featured this polished stainless surround encasing the radiator as well as headlight housings. This spartan interior is actually very nice. The dash displays a beautiful factory gauge cluster that works excellent. Note the bright coloration of the numerals. The Model A was the first Ford to utilized a standard set of drivers controls. There was a conventional clutch, brake pedal, throttle, and gearshift. This Delivery also has the tradional AAOUUGAHH horn. The upholstery is very nicely done. Although we love & prefer this wagon the way it is ( assembly line fresh & detailed), it would make an excellent "Paddy Wagon" or advertisment for a number of businesses. This vehicle is also parade ready and perfect for touring. The running boards & fenders are steel as are the wire wheels. Note the mounted side spare secured in place. The engine compartment displays the correct rebuilt L head 4 cylinder engine. This is a very good runner. Close inspection of the engine compartment will reveal clean and detailed components throughout. One modification made is the addition of an alternator for reliable charging. The simplicity of design makes inspections much easier in these cars. The louvered engine side cowls raise and lower easily and are in excellent condition. The bumpers are in excellent, restored condition. The bracketry is clean and detailed as well. The undercarriage displays the meticulous restoration well. Garage kept since restoration, there is a light dusting that we intend to detail and clean prior to the future owner's acquisition. The closer you get to this Model A Delivery, the better it looks. The windshield swings out as it was designed. The rubber seals and components have been replaced throughout this Model A. Note the steel sun visor also in place. I was to reiterate this is the real, all steel example. Look closely at the paint and how straight the body is. Much time and attention to detail has been spent on this one. The door panels display quality bright work. The window mechanisms are easy to operate. All of the glass is in excellent condition. The wood flooring and framework is restored and excellent. Note the fit and finish of the doors. The headliner and exterior vinyl top is fully restored. It appears this loving owner utilized a quality LeBaron Bonney top. Enjoy the remaining photos.
